"HBOT is conducted by placing the patient in a pressurized room or tube and delivering pure oxygen. By delivering more oxygen to an individual’s lungs, their blood can carry more oxygen to help heal cells in their body, including in the brain. Although more research needs to be done to determine how effective HBOT is in combating PTSD and TBI, many people who use this treatment have found it to be successful.

Our veterans, who have valiantly sacrificed so much to serve our country, deserve every resource available to let them get their lives back. If they have not responded to standard treatments, we owe it to them to give them access to HBOT."

This congressman has introduced legislation to create a hyperbaric oxygen treatment pilot program for veterans with TBI and PTSD.

Here Comes that Dreamer is a film documentary created by Pj. McArdle. It is about an Iraq war veteran who comes home and uses war tactics he learned in Iraq to fight for the homeless in Tucson.

He made it through the Iraq war but it never ended for Jon McLane. Suffering from PTSD and survivors guilt he returned to Tucson. He found out that 22 veterans committee su***de every day. And the veterans and others who were homeless in Tucson were treated like criminals and had lost their rights and dignity. His survivors guilt kicked in. No man left behind became his motto. He had a dream and a solution. He gave everything up to live on the streets. After five years and more than 50 arrests his dream is partially realized. Using money from a lawsuit against the city of Tucson, he bought some land and set up a Veterans Rescue Mission. But he he still has a long road ahead of him. Getting recognized as a legitimate organization and facing stiff opposition from Pima County officials Jon still has to fight for the veterans living on the streets.
