I’ve been hosting Blood on the Saddle on Monday nights since 2001. My musical influences are all over the map. Blood on the Saddle chronicles the “Americana” aspect of my listening habits! You’ll hear h***y tonk, western swing, folk, newgrass, bluegrass, cosmic country, cowboy songs, insurgent country, outlaw, countrypolitan, zydeco, country rock, alt-country, cowpunk, rockabilly, trucker songs,

close harmony, and all kinds of crossover. Blood on the Saddle is a two-hour program with announcements four times an hour. If you want to know who is playing on the air, you can wait for the break or give me a call at 541-346-0645. Once a month, I do an evening of vinyl selections, and throughout the year, you will hear a variety of themed shows. E

My biggest radio influences are Nick Spitzer from the excellent PRI music program American Routes and Ira Glass from This American Life. I suppose there’s a little Garrison Keillor in there somewhere, too. Listen in 8-10 PM Pacific Time at kwvaradio.org or via your radio receiver at frequency 88.1 FM.
