Continuing to look back at the Akron/Kent rivalry, let's go back to January 21, 2012 where the Zips found themselves down nine midway through the second half.

Akron would then go on a 28-6 run, sparked by a 12-0 flurry of four straight threes. They would go on to shock the Flashes 84-75, setting up a dominating three game sweep for the season.

Akron's Jami Bosley hit an outrageous buzzer-beating three at the old Anderson Arena to beat Bowling Green.

The win would help propel the Zips to their first winning season in MAC play (13-5), first MAC East Division Title, and first appearance in the MAC Tournament.
