Letters of Joys. Reading, Writing, and Corresponding with Hélène

In this workshop we will read Hélène Cixous’s essay in letter form "Post-Word" (1999) and explore different modes of corresponding with this text. Please read the text in advance and bring some writing tools and materials of your choice.

Annika Haas is a scholar of media theory and works as a research associate at the University of the Arts Berlin.

Icarus, Ireland's longest running literary and arts magazine, is accepting applications for the position of editor for the academic year 2020/2021, the magazine's 71st year of publication.

To apply, fill in the following form and submit it before midnight on the 31st May. Applications will be reviewed after the deadline, and a number of shortlisted applicants will be interviewed virtually before the position is offered.

ATTENTION CONTRIBUTORS.
We have been having problems with our submissions portal which we are delighted to say have now been rectified thanks to the fantastic Lorin Sweeney.

However, the problems we have had have meant that many files submitted in recent days have been corrupted and we cannot access them to consider them. We have emailed all those affected as these files will need to be resubmitted. Please check your emails if you think you may be affected!

Many submissions were submitted without the contact details box in the portal filled out. This is vital to complete when you are submitting because if no email is attached to your submission then we cannot contact you in any way.

We still do not have contact details for the following piece - if you submitted the following file, please resubmit your work with details attached.

Following the success of our last writing workshop we are delighted to announce that we will be hosting another workshop next TUESDAY the 15th at 6:00 p.m. with Dr Gébler.

This will be a much, much smaller workshop aimed at facilitating individual sharing of writing and personalised advice and guidance from the lovely and esteemed Dr Gébler.
When we say small, we mean small, this event will be organised on a first-come-first-serve basis and we can only take FIVE people!

We will post here tomorrow at 1:00 p.m. and the first five people will be our five so please be ready on our page to avoid disappointment!
