Took this photo in Sept. ‘15 during Surf Expo. First time meeting & seeing Randall ride in person after working with him over the last year designing his board, ‘The Circus’. Randall is a pretty creative person on & off the water. Seeing him ride in person is an experience unlike any other on water. Wish we could of done more for him cause he certainly deserved it. Unfortunately this was near the peak of the wakeboard pump & dump going on with Archer’s group when prices were starting to collapse. We are giving away 1 of the 2 Circus graphics we have available in our Discord later this evening.

2008, an early boot prototype modified by hand somewhere near Guangzho, China; a stitched upper into our nylon chassis. The patented design caused quite a riff when it came to who exactly commercialized the design first. We were able to license the design early on from LF. It was easy & they were cool about it, I think mainly because it bolstered LF’s ongoing litigation at the time with Ronix. It also helped that our founding team member had a lead role in its development.

Cassettes & molds are interchangeable terms used in board . Manufacturers use cassettes to build a board size and/or shape. Our program is unique not only to wakeboarding & manufacturing, but also to the emerging world of utility.

While we are excited about what this may mean for artists and the manufacturers behind this program, the success of this program is very much driven by YOU, the board loving community; the riders, the pros, the casual fans, and the retailers/distributors physical & digital.

Besides the exclusive, irrevocable right to order a board using NFT authentication, it’s the opportunity to buy a board at manufacturing cost. Hell you may even make some money if you are early & have a following.

Starting sometime this month we will be auctioning off our board cassettes on Each NFT corresponds to it’s physical board counterpart.

The winning NFT bidders will be given the EXCLUSIVE production rights of it’s real board counterpart. Once verified under our NOid program, park boards can be ordered for $299. NOid nft holders can order as many boards as they wish (taking into account our manufacturers capabilities & material availability).

To kick this auction off, the starting bid for cassettes (boards) will be .06 eth or ~ $200. Every winning bidder will get FREE boards (shipping not included). Every board ordered thereafter is $299 (for as long as you are a verified owner of that particular NFT). We will be posting links and FAQ, so hang tight. 🖖

2012 Some snaps of Colorado Livin. This was a busy time. Production timelines in China and financial constraints for a three person team led to months long delays for a very ‘traditional’ summer sales season. At the time, we had 3 board models and one of the first hand shaped surfers on the market. We were trying to figure out a way around the high volume & long timelines associated with mfg overseas. We were working on new boots, new surfers, new boards, life jackets, and softgoods. It was a gargantuan amt. of work to take on in hindsight. 🤦‍♂️Our solution for dealing with delays and high volume overseas mfg cost? Take board production in-house.

2011 - Powell. Our first team trip Two years after the GFC we were able to produce a minimal run of boards in a small factory in Sanya, China with the help of a third biz partner. We ran about 400 boards between 2 models. 400 is a low qty for China but modest for a small startup brand. So it was a fairly significant sum of $ for us. We later learned the mfg would use the funds for his own brand and manufactured just under 100 production grade boards. On the bright side, our working experience in China taught us many things on the engineering & business side of the industry prob too lengthy for an insta post.

With sponsorship budgets tightening & increased competition in wake in 2010/11, we were gracious for the opportunity to be approached by many stylish riders looking for sponsorship. We had a hard time saying no to many riders we looked up to. They were all willing to put in the initial unpaid work. This trip was a standout memory. 🤘

08/09 - We sell through our first run of boards without much trouble. Later in the summer we ink a small deal with Alliance to run print ads in exchange for some exposure (this is how most publishers work). This is my first critical mistake. I abandon our initial strategy to be 100% web-based. Being niave, I am convinced in my own mind that I can compete with Kent Sports, who just a couple years earlier acquired every major wakeboarding brand. 🤕

A few months after the ads run in Alliance, the financial crisis hits. Everyone is collectively holding their breath. I realize I am gonna need a full time biz partner (or two) to help us get through it.

Ideas about construction possibilities (bleeding over from snow) and the move towards cable parks bring new life to the industry. The timing also provides an entry point for a savvy businessman by the name of Bob Archer to capitalize on his recent investment in wakeboarding a couple years prior. Take note.

2008, Colorado. Our first 100 board production run. Fresh outta school my mom loaned me 25k from a small inheritance when my father passed away in a tragic snowboarding accident while riding in Revelstoke BC. One of the main reasons why I pursued building boards; also the reason why I have a love / hate relationship with this industry. I want the fam to understand the intentions of the brand’s founding are true & real. It’s not a ‘get rich’ industry (unless you are Tony Finn). lol. We are telling our story. It may ruffle some feathers in the weeks ahead. But I want these posts to ultimately help push the industry forward to something I believe it deserves in the upcoming release. The success or failure will happen in real time. Early adopters that figure out what we have planned will be rewarded.

Winter 2007 Our first prototype was live. A true sandwich construction. Sculpted sidewalls, flat top and double concave bottom. This was not long after ’s Roam wakeboard would get my head churning about the possibilities of snow construction being used in wake. Snowboarding was passion. Wakeboarding was biz. I always got a chuckle when rolled into the scene as a kiteboard company and claimed First! As their marketing campaign. Nah. Lol. Personally I would give the honors Hyperlite’s Dream Team squad back in the early 2000s. Maybe ? Who developed the Roam model?

The utility of NFTs is interesting. Some people view them as a ungoverned social currency assigned to artistic innovation (or lack thereof most times). Much like the adoption of the internet, music sharing & streaming services, we know NFTs are important, we just haven’t realized their application in various industries outside of artistic authentication. Our experiment makes use of NFTs immutable, exclusive ownership to manifest it’s physical counterpart. We invite & openly encourage ALL past distributors, retailers, pro riders, manufacturers & customers to proactively push the boundaries of this space so that everyone wins. You will be incentivized along the way.

Gm! Over 2 years since our last post. Wow. As many others experienced, COVID gave our business another challenge we didn’t have the energy or resources to fight. In March of 2020, we were excited to share news of a new factory partnership with our friends up north. As ‘corona world’ progressed, it became clear it was time to sign off for a bit. But what followed was unexpected, a relentless surge of emails & messages over the past 2 years wanting to know where they could get a Humanoid board.

The next thought was, how could we thank our customers, artists & riders (often times unpaid), when we ourselves had nothing but unpaid bills & memories (most we cherish, but some rather painful). Who could continue where we left off?

What follows over the next few months is a very experimental board release we sincerely hope gives back to the humans that supported us during our decade plus of work here and another 15 of being participants in snow, surf, & wake ourselves. If this release proves to be successful, we want to apologize in advance for the many many brands before us that paved the way in boardsports manufacturing. ’s success may be the start of the end for the traditional manufacturing & retail landscape. Either way, this concludes our relationship with wakeboarding. 🇺🇸💔
