Rockets from Syria land in Lebanon’s Bekaa Valley
Several rockets fired by Takfiri groups in Syria have landed in an area in Lebanon’s Bekaa Valley, a security source says.

According to the source, who spoke on condition of anonymity on Thursday, the rockets fired by the Takfiri groups “landed in the area between al-Qaa's barren mountains and Ras Baalbek.”

No one was killed or injured in the attack, the source added.

On Tuesday, six rockets hit a Lebanese army barrack in the border town of Hermel, leaving several people, including two soldiers, injured.

Two anti-Syria Takfiri groups, including the al-Nusra Front, claimed responsibility for the attack.
This is while Hermel and other areas of eastern Lebanon are considered to be strongholds of the Lebanese resistance movement Hezbollah.
The Thursday’s strike comes as occasional cross-border rocket attacks have given rise to fears of the spillover of turmoil in Syria into Lebanon.

On September 16, several people sustained injuries after three rockets launched by foreign-sponsored militants in Syria struck the Bekaa Valley.

One of the rockets landed in an orchard in the town of Labweh, situated over 120 kilometers (74 miles) northeast of the capital Beirut, while another fell on the outskirts of the town, causing a fire.

The third rocket landed on a road in Zboud.

On June 11, one person was killed and several others injured after a dozen rockets fired by foreign-backed militants hit Hermel.

The Lebanese army said the attack caused heavy damage to some residential buildings.

Syria has been gripped by deadly unrest since March 2011. According to reports, Western powers and their regional allies -- especially Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and Turkey -- are supporting the militants operating inside Syria.

According to the United Nations, more than 100,000 people have been killed and millions of others displaced due to the violence.

American senators introduce new Iran sanctions bill
A number of American senators have introduced new legislation to impose further sanctions against Iran in order to disrupt the Geneva nuclear agreement.

In a blatant move to oppose President Barack Obama’s request for not imposing fresh sanctions, 13 Democrats and 13 Republicans sponsored the new Senate bill on Thursday.

Chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee Sen. Robert Menendez and Sen. Mark Kirk wrote the bill, which proposes boycotting Iranian oil exports within a year and the blacklisting of Iran's mining, engineering and construction industries.

“A credible threat of future sanctions will require Iran to cooperate and act in good faith at the negotiating table," Sen. Menendez was quoted as saying by the Associated Press.Republican Senator Kirk also claimed that the draft law is "an insurance policy to defend against Iranian deception."

Under the Senate bill, more sanctions will be imposed if Iran breaches the terms of the Geneva deal and it calls for "diplomatic, military and economic support" to Israel in case Tel Aviv decides to launch an attack against Iran’s nuclear energy program.

The new legislation will put the Obama administration in peril because under the November 24 nuclear deal no new economic sanctions should be imposed for the duration of the six-month interim accord.

Last week, US Secretary of State John Kerry told senators that passing new sanctions legislation now would violate the interim deal with Iran.

Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif had warned that the agreement will be “dead” if the United States imposes additional sanctions.

“The entire deal is dead. We do not like to negotiate under duress. And if Congress adopts sanctions, it shows lack of seriousness and lack of a desire to achieve a resolution on the part of the United States,” Zarif said.

Meanwhile, the US announced new sanctions against a number of companies and individuals last week for “providing support for” Iran’s nuclear program.

Iran called December sanctions counterproductive, saying they might undermine the agreement. Tehran said they “violated the spirit of the Geneva deal.”

Saudi Arabia gives activist 13 yrs in jail: HRW researcher
A Shia activist in Saudi Arabia has been sentenced to 13 years in jail and a 15-year travel ban, according to a Human Rights Watch (HRW) researcher.

Adam Coogle said a judge convicted Adel al-Labbad in the Eastern Province of Saudi Arabia on Thursday, The Associated Press reported.

Labbad faced a total of five charges, including disobedience to Saudi King Abdullah and disturbing public order.

Media across the kingdom has not yet reported on the sentence.

Meanwhile, the Saudi public prosecutor demanded the death penalty for a 20-year-old man accused of participating in anti-regime protests.
On Wednesday, HRW censured Riyadh’s crackdown on human rights activists in the kingdom.
“Civil society and human rights activists in Saudi Arabia are struggling for greater popular political participation, judicial reform, and an end to discrimination against women and minorities. Saudi authorities have responded by cracking down on rights defenders, quashing calls for change, and preventing the development of an opposition movement,” the New York-based group said in a report.

Human rights groups say there are over 40,000 political prisoners in Saudi Arabia, many of them being held without trial or charges.

Since February 2011, demonstrators have held anti-regime protest rallies on an almost regular basis in Saudi Arabia, mainly in Qatif and the town of Awamiyah in the Eastern Province, primarily calling for the release of all political prisoners, freedom of expression and assembly, and an end to widespread discrimination.

Three Indian peacekeepers killed in South Sudan
Three Indian peacekeepers have been killed in an attack on a United Nations base in South Sudan, and concerns are rising that heavy fighting between government troops and rebels is pushing the world's youngest state into civil war.

India's UN Ambassador Asoke Mukerji said the three were "targeted and killed" on Thursday by the rebels in an attack on a base at Akobo in Jonglei state.

UN deputy spokesman Farhan Haq said the fate of some 30 ethnic Dinka civilians taking shelter at the UN base was not clear yet.

"We have received reports of people killed and injured and are in the process of verifying," said UN Deputy Secretary General Jan Eliasson.
Meanwhile, 40 other UN peacekeepers and six UN police advisors at the camp were transferred to safety.

The fighting between troops loyal to South Sudanese President Salva Kiir, who is from the Dinka ethnic group, and opposition leader Riek Machar, a Nuer, erupted around the capital Juba on Sunday night.

The violence, which has claimed hundreds of lives and is spreading to other parts of the country, has alarmed South Sudan's African neighbors.

Meanwhile, a team of mediators sent by the African Union held talks with Kiir to work out a ceasefire as rival factions fought fierce gun battles over Bor, north of Juba.

"The African Union is until now meeting with the president," presidential spokesman Ateny Wek Ateny said. "Their message is that they are trying to broker peace between the two forces."

Ateny said Bor was in the hands of Machar's forces. "Bor has surrendered actually because the forces that were in Bor were mainly loyal to Machar," he said. "They control the town, but government forces are trying to retake the town."

On Wednesday, UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon said there are signs that the conflict in South Sudan is spreading.

“I am deeply concerned about the current situation in South Sudan. I spoke to President Salva Kiir yesterday morning urging him to do everything possible he can to end the violence and to ensure a respect for human rights and the rule of law. I also impressed on him the need to resume dialogue with the political opposition,” Ban said.

"This is a political crisis and urgently needs to be dealt with through political dialogue," he added. "There is a risk of this violence spreading to other states (in South Sudan) as we have already seen some signs of this."

The South Sudanese president accused his archrival and former deputy, Machar, of attempting to topple his government, but he said the coup attempt had been foiled.

The government said on Tuesday that ten senior political figures were arrested after the alleged coup attempt.

Machar has denied Kiir's accusation that he had led a coup attempt.

South Sudan gained independence in July 2011 after its people overwhelmingly voted in a referendum for a split from the North.

The government in Juba is grappling with rampant corruption, unrest and conflict in the deeply impoverished but oil-rich nation, left devastated by decades of war.

Syria blasts foreign supporters of militancy
Syria’s deputy foreign minister has blasted foreign supporters of militancy in the Arab country, holding them responsible for the killing of the Syrian people.

"Those who send criminals to Syria, whether they are the USA, France, Britain, Turkey, Saudi Arabia or others are responsible for killing the Syrian people," Faisal Mekdad said on Wednesday evening.

Mekdad also stated that Saudi Arabia and Israel are playing a lethal role in the country’s crisis, saying Riyadh and Tel Aviv are closely coordinating their actions and funneling cash and weapons to militants fighting against the government of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad.

"Saudi-Israeli relations have become public, as they exchange visits and talks and have joint operation rooms," the Syrian deputy foreign minister said.Mekdad further noted that the United States is providing lethal weapons to the militants.

He also pointed to a deadly attack by the foreign-backed militants against citizens in Adraa al-Omalia near the Syrian capital Damascus on December 12, saying the “massacre will urge the whole world to change their viewpoint regarding those who offered weapons and money and provoked for joining armed terrorist groups."

At least 20 people were killed and a number of others kidnapped in the raid. The militants also attacked government buildings and the main police station in the area, killing a number of policemen.Syria has been gripped by deadly unrest since 2011. According to reports, Western powers and their regional allies - especially Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and Turkey - are supporting the militants operating inside the country.

According to the United Nations, more than 100,000 people have been killed and millions displaced due to the turmoil that has gripped Syria for over two years.

The UN also says more than four million other Syrians will be forced out of their homes in 2014 by the escalating conflict in the country.

Two million Syrians are expected to take refuge outside the country while another 2.25 million are predicted to be internally displaced next year.

Back to Back attacks of ban-outfits on Shiite Muslims and Criminal Silence of State
It has been observed for long time that a planned game is being played in Pakistan through ban-outfits with the help of Influential Arab countries to execute International dirty game of weakening Pakistani State and to make it miserable even more-then Afghanistan and Somalia.
However on different occasions Government Officials have been referring to this game in Pakistan but unfortunately it is limited to verbal statements and no serious actions have taken to counter the wave of terrorism in Country.
Since Nawaz Govt took the power people have been showing reservations on Nawaz's tilt towards Terrorist organizations. Key members of PMLN were seen with most wanted figures of ban-outfit and Nawaz himself was a good friend of OBL former Al-Qaida leader. it is also known in masses that PMLN as an organization has sympathies with TTP Pakistani Taliban.
People are unhappy with continuous soft behavior of Nawaz to terrorists and allowing them to do black and white in country and insisting for peace talk with mercenary groups.

Lahore: Religious Scholar killed in Lahore. brutality continues in Pakistan, almost every city has been observing mourning of mothers for their sons and widows for husbands but Federal and Provincial Governments are engaged in other activities. it seems that State has compromised on terrorism and it has no concerns with the lives of its people. earlier on 10th of Moharam country observed massacre after bashing of a speaker from a controversial mosque in Rawalpindi. Govt. gave freehand to terrorists and extremists of ban-outfits by declaring that event a logic. People have been strongly criticizing the act of Govt. on backing a single ban-outfit in country and also questions posing how these ban outfits are carrying-out their political, organizational and terrorist activities??? why Govt. is silent on their activities?
Shia Ullema Council and Majlis Wahdat Muslimeen has strongly condemned the act of Shia Genocide in Pakistan and demanded arrest and ex*****on of culprits otherwise country will observe a wave of strong and wide protests.

Pakistani Taliban appoint Mullah Radio as new chief
The decision to appoint the new Tehreek-e-Taliban (TTP) chief and his deputy Sheikh Khalid Haqqani was taken during the meeting of the Taliban ruling council.

Mullah Fazlullah led the Taliban’s brutal two year rule in Pakistan’s northwest valley of Swat in 2007-2009 before a military operation retook the area. Since the operation in Swat, Mullah Radio took shelter in Afghanistan and directed attacks against Pakistan.

Pakistani intelligence believes Mullah Radio has links to the attempt to kill Malala Yousafzai in Swat in October 2012, an attack which was claimed by the TTP. He is also said to be involved in the high profile killing of Major General (retd) Sanaullah Khan Niazi, General Officer Commanding Swat, in Upper Dir in an IED blast.

Following his appointment, the Taliban rejected talks with Islamabad stating Mullah Radio is against negotiations with the Pakistani government.

The killing of Mehsud on Friday came as government representatives prepared to meet the TTP with a view to opening peace talks. It triggered an angry response from Islamabad, with Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar accusing Washington of sabotaging peace efforts.

Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif was more measured, but said his government was committed to seeking peace through dialogue and stressing that an end to bloodshed could not be achieved "by unleashing senseless force".

The government forces drove out militants from al-Sabeineh al-Kubra, al-Sabeineh al-Sughra and Ghazal on Thursday.

The operation took nine consecutive days, during which a large number of militants were killed.

The takeover came weeks after the recapture of nearby Hussainiyeh, Ziabiyeh and Bweida areas.

Syria has been gripped by deadly unrest since 2011. According to reports, the Western powers and their regional allies -- especially Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and Turkey -- are supporting the militants operating inside Syria.

According to the United Nations, more than 100,000 people have been killed and millions displaced in the violence.

The UN recently warned against the humanitarian situation in Syria, saying that over nine million people are in need of urgent aid due to the crisis in the Middle Eastern country.

Road to World War III
Why did United States attack Libya, Iraq, Afghanistan... Yemen?
Why are U.S. covert operatives helping destabilize Syria?
And why is the United States government so intent on taking down Iran in spite of the fact that Iran has not attacked any country since 1798?

When you look at the trajectory that we are on it doesn't make sense at all if you evaluate it based on what we are taught in school.
In fact it doesn't even make sense according to what is being presented by many in the alternative media.
But it makes perfect sense once you know the real motives of the powers that be,

In order to understand those motives we first have to look at history...

In 1945 the Bretton Woods agreement established the dollar as world reserve currency which meant that international commodities were priced in dollars. The agreement which gave the United States a distinct financial advantage was made under the condition that those dollars would remain redeemable for gold at a consistent rate of $35 dollars per ounce. The United States promised not print much money, but this was on the honor system, because the Federal Reserve refused to allow any audits or supervision of its printing presses.

In the years leading up to 1970 expenditures in the Vietnam war made it clear to many countries that the U.S. was printing far more money than it had in gold, and in response they began to ask for their gold back. This set off a rapid decline in the value of the dollar.

The situation climaxed in 1971 when France attempted to withdraw its gold and Nixon refused. On August 15th he made the following announcement:

This was obviously not a temporary suspension as he claimed, but rather a permanent default and to put it bluntly it was theft.

In 1973 President Nixon asked King Faisal of Saudi Arabia to accept only US dollars as payment for oil and to invest any excess profits in US Treasury bonds, notes, and bills. In return Nixon offered military protection for Saudi oil fields. The same offer was extended to each of the world's key oil producing countries, and by 1975 every member of OPEC had agreed to only sell oil in U.S. dollars.

The act of moving the dollar off of gold and tying it to foreign oil instantly forced every oil importing country in the world to start maintaining a constant supply of Federal Reserve paper, and to get that paper they would have to send real, physical goods to America.

This was the birth of the Petrodollar, Paper dollars went out, everything America needed came in and the United States got very, very rich as a result. It was largest financial con in recorded history.

Through 70s and the 80s the U.S. used the financial power gained by the petrodollar arrangement to build the most powerful military in the world,
and when the Soviet Union collapsed in 1991 the United States was left with no rival.

Many hoped that at this point the U.S would start to reduce its military presence across the world, and that a new era of peace and stability would follow...

Unfortunately there were those in high places which had other ideas

Within that same year the U.S. invaded Iraq in the first Gulf war, and after crushing the Iraqi military and destroying their infrastructure, crippling sanctions were established which prevented that infrastructure from being rebuilt. These sanctions which were initiated by Bush senior and sustained throughout the entire Clinton administration lasted over a decade and were estimated to have killed over 500,000 children. The Clinton administration was fully aware of these figures.

http://archives.cnn.com/2000/WORLD/meast/10/30/iraq.un.euro.reut/

Mrs. Albright what exactly was it that was worth killing 500,000 kids for?

In a final act of resistance Iraq began selling it's oil exclusively in Euros November of 2000.

This was a direct attack on the dollar and on U.S. financial dominance, and it wasn't going to be tolerated.

In response the U.S. government, with the assistance of the main stream media began to build up a massive propaganda campaign claiming that Iraq had weapons of mass destruction and was planning to use them. In 2003 the U.S. invaded, and once they had control of the country oil sales were immediately switched back to dollars.

This is particularly notable due to the fact that switching back to the dollar meant a 15 - 20% loss in revenue due to the euro's higher value. It doesn't make sense at all unless you take the petrodollar into account.

General General Wesley Clark: March 2, 2007

This interview was filmed in 2007 and yet almost all of what General Clark described has come to pass.

In Libya Gahaffi was in the process of organizing a block of African countries to create a gold based currency called the Dynar which they intended to use to replace the dollar in that region. U.S. and NATO forces helped destabilize and topple the Libyan government in 2011 and after taking control of the region U.S. armed Rebels executed Gaddafi in cold blood and immediately set up the Libyan central bank.

Iran has been actively campaigning to pull oil sales off of the dollar for some time now and has recently secured agreements to begin trading its oil in exchange for gold; In response the U.S. government with mainstream media assistance has been attempting to build international support for military strikes on the pretext of preventing Iran from building a nuclear weapon. In the meantime they established sanctions which U.S. officials openly admit are aimed at causing a collapse of the Iranian economy.

Syria is Iran's closest ally, and they are bound by mutual defense agreements. The country is currently in the process of being destabilized with covert assistance from NATO, and though Russia and China have warned the United States not to get involved, the white house has made statements within the past month indicating that they are considering military intervention.

It should be clear that military intervention in Syria and Iran isn't being considered, it's a foregone conclusion, just as it was in Iraq and Libya. The U.S. is actively working to create the context which gives them the diplomatic cover do what they already have planned.

The motive for these invasions becomes clear when we look at them in their full context and connect the dots.

Those who control United States understand that if even a few countries begin to sell their oil in another currency it will set off a chain reaction, and the dollar will collapse.

They understand that there is absolutely nothing else holding up the value of the dollar at this point, and so does the rest of the world.

Rather than accepting the fact that the dollar is nearing the end of its lifespan, the powers that be have made a calculated gambit.

They have decided to use the U.S. military crush each and every resistant state in the middle east and Africa.

That in itself would be bad enough, but what you need to understand is that this is not going to end with Syria, Iran and Yemen.

China and Russia have stated publicly and in no uncertain terms that they will not tolerate an attack on Iran or Syria.

Iran is one of their key allies, and they understand that if Iran falls

then they will have no way to escape the dollar without going to war.

And yet the U.S. is pushing forward in spite of the warnings.

What we are witnessing here is a trajectory that leads straight to the unthinkable.

It is a trajectory that was mapped out years ago in full awareness of the human consequences.

But who was it that set us on this course? What kind of psychopath is willing to intentionally set off a global conflict that will lead to millions of deaths just to protect the value of a paper currency?

It obviously isn't the president. The decision to invade Libya, Syria and Iran was made long before Obama had risen to the national spotlight, and yet he is carrying out his duty just like the puppets that preceded him.

So who is pulling the strings?

Often the best answer to questions like this are found by asking another question: Qui Bono? Who benefits?

Obviously those who have the power to print the dollar out of thin air have the most to loose if the dollar were to fall and since 1913 that power has been held by the Federal Reserve.

The Federal Reserve is a private entity is owned by a conglomerate of the most powerful banks in the world, and the men who control those banks are the ones who pull the strings.

To them this a game. Your life and the lives of those you love are just pawns on their chessboard.

At like a spoiled 4 year old who tips the board onto the floor when they start to lose the powers that be are willing to start world war three to keep control of the global financial system.

Remember that as these wars extend and accelerate. Remember that when your son or your neighbors son comes back home in a flag draped coffin. Remember that when they point the finger at the new boogie man. Because the madmen who are running this show will take this as far as you allow

What are our chances? Can we change course?... also the wrong question.

The odds don't matter anymore. If you understand what we are facing then you have a moral responsibility to do everything in our power alter the course we are on regardless of the odds. It's only when you stop basing your involvement on the chances of success that success actually becomes possible.

To strip the ill begotten power from the financial elites and to bring these criminal cartels to justice will require nothing less than a revolution. The government is not going to save us. The government is completely infiltrated and corrupt to the core. Looking to them for a solution at this point is utterly naive.

There are 3 stages of revolution, and they are sequential. Stage one is already underway.

Stage one is the ideological resistance. In this stage we have to actively work to wake up as many people as possible about what is happening and the direction we are headed. All revolutions originate from a shift in the mindset of the population, and no other meaningful resistance is possible without it. Success in this stage of a revolution can be measured by the contagion of ideas. When an idea reaches critical mass it begins to spread on its own and seeps into all levels of society. In order to achieve that contagion we need more people in this fight. We need more people speaking out, making videos, writing articles, getting this information onto the national and international stage, and we especially need to reach the police and military.

Stage two is civil disobedience, also known as non-violent resistance. In this stage you put your money where your mouth is, or more accurately you withhold your money and your obedience from government, and do everything in your power to bring the gears of the state to a halt. Practiced in mass this method alone is often enough to bring a regime to its knees. However if you fail at this stage, stage 3 is inevitable.

Stage 3 is direct physical resistance. Direct physical resistance is the last resort and it should be avoided and delayed as long as possible, and should only be invoked once all other options have been thoroughly exhausted

There are those talk tough and claim that they will resist when the time comes, but what those people fail to realize is that if you are inactive during the first two stages and save your efforts for violent resistance then you will fail. When the N***s were moving door to door dragging people out of their homes in Germany that was the time to fight back physically, but due to the lack of ideological resistance and civil disobedience leading up to that moment even an armed uprising would have likely failed at that point. An armed uprising can only succeed if the people have established an attitude of active resistance, and active resistance is only possible after their minds have broken free from main stream propaganda.

If you want to fight back it's now or never. You're not gonna get another chance, and the stakes are much higher than they were in N**i Germany.
