this isnt about the physical impact of COVID (which im happy to talk about, cuz i definitely have had a longgggg term experience of this virus)...its about the emotional and spiritual impact of COVID

my friend talks about trauma as, “any moment in our life when we weren’t nurtured, when we were left alone with our pain.”

based on this, there’s VERY few of us who have escaped unscathed — cause COVID is by definition an isolation-inducing experience.

the intensity of this virus has left healing - especially at the subtle layer - uniquely challenging. (cont in next post)

the call to connect (IRL) is a controversial one at this moment, and might sound profoundly out of touch. it also might sound offensive to my immunocompromised friends, who i acknowledge

alas if we're moving into the endemic (vs pandemic) portion of this experience, then we're called as a society to move forward. we're called to return to optimal ways of operating - to attend classes in person cause we learn better there, to be in the office cause we brainstorm better there, to spend time w people cause it fills our souls

it also means looking at our trauma - collective and individual - and process what's there to be felt. link in bio to full piece, and comment below if you feel called to share what + brings up for you...
