Ummm. Hi. Liz meant to finish editing this episode like a solid week or 2 so apparently 2023 is going about as well as 2022.

Anyway! We are back! This episode is all about playing catch up with Stephanie and Liz and why we accidentally disappeared for the 2nd half of the year.

There is good to talk about.
There is not so good.
And there are some things that were just absolutely s**t.

But we made it through and we are here and we are BOTH published authors now and ahh. It is a new year.

Our very own Stephanie Kazowz just released her third book, SASHA AND THE HEIR. All three books follow Sasha and Luca's relationship and are not stand-alones, but believe me (Liz), you want to read them all! I for one cannot wait to start reading book 3 because she left us on quite the cliffhanger in book 2!

We are part of Calamity Cast and it hurts not having Daniel anymore. Full transparency, this is Liz typing. I worked very closely with Daniel on several shows. He taught me everything I know about podcasting and audio editing. He never said no when I panic called him when something wasn't working on my end. He helped us make Love & Lust happen and I truly don't know how to make season 2 happen without his recording and audio skills. I hope Steph and I find a way because we love it.

Death sucks. 💜

I know, I know, it has been a hot minute. Oops.
This episode was actually recorded early May, but it is still incredibly fun (and chaotic) to listen to. Stephanie and Liz traveled to a cabin in Michigan for a writing retreat with four other amazing romance writers in various stages of their careers. April was Camp NaNoWriMo time and Liz and special guest host Sarah Estep recorded this episode mid-month to discuss what Camp NaNo is, how it differs from November NaNoWriMo and how bad we actually are at succeeding during Camp.

Since we recorded this mid-month, I am going to go ahead and tell you that neither one of us actually hit our goals but hey, we made progress!

NEW EPISODE ALERT!

On Dick of the Week, we decided to read "The Prince of Broadway" by Joanne Shupe and discuss it. We will start doing this sort of thing on occasion and will HOPEFULLY announce the books in advance in case you want to read with us before the episode drops.

This is the 2nd book in the Uptown Girls series but can be read as a stand alone. It takes place in 1891 NYC and is about a young socialite who just wants to open a casino for women in a time when gambling is illegal. She seeks out the mysterious (and hot) owner of the best casino in town and propositions him to teach her the ins and outs of running one. How could he possibly say no to this intriguing woman?

This book, yall. This book. We are in love and hope you adore it, too.
