There was a time I was drinking everyday. This was just a couple weeks ago I signed up for a 5k race, never running more than a mile at a time in my life and while heavily intoxicated, I signed up for this race…The next day I went for a run, didn’t even make it a mile I had to turn around and walk the rest of the way home. That’s the day EVERYTHING changed. I didn’t crack a beer after that embarrassment. I started jogging daily instead of drinking daily and every single day was harder than the last, they said running daily would get easier, they were lying or they have never ran everyday. Cause NOT running one day would have been the easiest option, still is…It’s a lot more than mind over matter. It takes relentless self-discipline to schedule suffering into your day, every day. And that’s why I have changed my ways, I did what I thought was impossible (not having a beer everyday) and proved I’m able to do anything I want in life. With runners knee I ran a 33 minute and 45 second 5k. STAY HARD
