One of my favorite places (of course my most favorite are the night markets with all those food! haha) during our short trip to Taiwan is the Taroko National Park! Wished we had more time here.

The long travel here was worth it (over 2 hours from Taipei). I was absolutely blown by it's beauty. With the towering marble cliffs, rivers and those massive rocks, felt like I was in another planet.

I'll be sure to spend more time here by booking an accommodation in Hualien City, the next time we visit Taiwan!

I'm just so happy that after a few years of hiatus due to work and the pandemic, I finally got to travel out of the country again! Another country, another adventure! Just added Taiwan to my travel bucket list – country number 22! Yay! And I'm sure to be going back there again soon! Super sarap ng food doon promise!🌟✈️ 🍢

On several occasions this year, I had the chance to visit and stayed at , the resort where I used to work as a Digital Marketing Officer for 2 years.

As the DMO, part of my work was to take photos of some guests as they enjoy every moment at the resort. I was always the one behind the camera.

But this time, heck! I just realized that I liked being infront of the camera more as I make moments at this amazing property in Boracay! 😜🏝

Since the pandemic started, I haven't had the chance to go back home in Manila and be with my family. The longest time I am away and I miss them. But despite of, I still feel blessed because everytime I needed solace, this place is near.

Today marks my 2nd year on the island and another month more till I set my sail once again and explore other career opportunities!

It has been an exciting roller coaster ride with all the laughter, the drama, the drunken nights, work pressure, new and old friends I've spent time with, the typhoon that left us with no electricity and communication from the outside, and the lockdown due to Covid19. All these memories will never be forgotten.

Whew! Time flies by really fast. Let's see what's written for me next in the future. :-)

A new interesting spot in Boracay Island that I've learned about recently is this arc in New Coast. It reminded me of that one in Sabtang, Batanes.

I haven't researched yet if there is any history about this but what I do know is that I can imagine this as a perfect place for romantic dinners or marriage proposals. And yes, ideal for that Instagram worthy photos! 😉

My friend and I were going for our usual walk around the island and stumble upon this huge starfish. I cant remember the last time I saw one here until today!

The other day, I saw a seasnake swimming happily near the shore and monkeys jumping from one tree to another in Puka Beach.

Wildlife's really loving the quiet Boracay Island, ey! 😊

Working in the hospitality industry, I am one of those heavily affected by the pandemic. But I still feel blessed to be living here in Boracay island, to go for a quiet walk by the beach when my mind gets restless and to experience its real beauty less the crowd.

I hope everyone is safe and healthy where ever you are! Just hold on and stay positive, we will travel again soon.

[An open letter to all travellers from a Nurse in Italy]

Please share this!! We need as many people as possible to see this!

STOP TRAVELLING Guys! Im a nurse in italy , in PAVIA (check google 😄) Im writing this post because I saw a lot of you saying that you don't care about the coronavirus or you are not afraid! You are in DENIAL , just like italy one week ago , just like all the other countries right now ! We have almost 500 under 30 yo people in the hospital, an 18 yo person in icu , in my city we had a 38 yo sporty guy in icu , he had noillnessess before! Please read and inform yourself! If one nurse or doctor gets infected we have to stay quarantined and our families as well! So there are not enough medical staff ! Italy anticipated nursing graduation because we dont have enough nurses! But that is very dangerous as of course just out of school we are not ready to deal with this emergency! Remember yourself when you first started working... it took you weeks or months or more to really understand what you are doing! We started just like you with few infected people and now we are almost 11.000 or more! Guys im talking about italy! A developed country with one of the best hospitals in the world!

I don't want to make anyone paranoid! But START acting now! Your governs aren't doing anything ... it doesn't matter!!! You start , clean your phones, use gloves to the supermarket , stop going out that much or being very close to other people or all the other things that OMS is saying
Oh yeah... and yesterday it was heartbreaking when an old lady with oxygen , told me that she isn't very positive right now ... especially in her situation! So those that are saying ONLY old people die or ill people die , if they can tell me what are the right words to tell to that lady cus i just put my head down, because i didn't know what to say!

So again, start doing now!

And above all this, some people forget that the accidents, strokes , heart attacks etc still happen ... but too many people all together ended up in the icu so its pretty messy!

It's my 1st year working and living here in the island paradise of Boracay. Whew! Time passes by so quickly.

I remembered just dreaming about working in a tropical island where work stress can easily be washed away by waves of the sea or relieved as the sun sets by the horizon. I guess the Law of Attraction actually worked on me. :-)

I look forward to more magnificent sunrise and especially sunsets in the island, more serene walks by the shore and more laughter with friends here where "tara" seemed to be our favorite word.

Cheers to simple but good life in the island! 😁😁😁
