My kind of dinner
We barely scratched the surface on the show!
Who said you can only try one item off the menu? These Kansas City restaurants â spanning Korean, tapas and others cuisines â encourage ordering big dishes for the table, family-style, or picking a handful of small plates and passing them around.
Love having chunks of turkey in the freezer leftover from Thanksgiving. Curry is perfect on a damp, chilly day like today. Homemade tomato chutney from our summer tomato haul provides a touch of sweetness to offset the spiciness.
On to the next holiday. âď¸
OUTSTANDING dinner tonight . So happy to have lots of people at the table so we could order so many dishes. And of course and were lovely and attentive hosts. We missed you .liberda

Enjoyed our pre-theatre dinner at . And the happy hour portion of steak frites was the perfect size as it allowed us to also have the grilled octopus with pistachio mole verde. It was delicious but unfortunately in my haste to try it I didnât take a very good picture of it. Too blurry to share. The place was packed when we walked in at 5:30!
With so many family owned Mexican restaurants in the metro it can be hard to frequent them all⌠but donât sleep on . And then walk down the street and get some tortillas to take home from
Love having within walking distance! I talked about these chilaquiles on Up to Date last week on the food show. And Monieâs Carnitas Plate is a new item on the brunch menu. I havenât had a dish I didnât enjoy since the restaurant opened earlier this year.
New owners, same menu. My go-to burger and Reuben did not disappoint. .tavernkc

Whether you're waking up with the roosters or you never made it to bed last night, breakfast is the most important meal of the day. The Kansas food scene has a plethora of early-bird offerings to start your day with a sweet or savory kick.
Beet risotto. Beet puree is the key, in terms of flavor and color.
Love the new location of . Same food, a full bar, and a little market corner with .yoli for sale with the full range of salsas. Happy they are closer to home now!

So glad I made it back to before the chilled corn soup was still on the menu. I love all of .brazeal âs soups, but this one is my favorite. The Brussels sprouts salad and lobster ravioli are also in my wheelhouse so it was a lovely meal all the way around. Bonus: we got to eat outside at the end of September!
I canât go to without having the pork and Chile crisp nachos. But I did try for the first time a lunch special, Buck Noodle, and burnt ends with tiger cry sauce and BBQ sauce. đ Excited to try and âs new venture,
