U.S. 1 Traffic advisory for Lower Keys

The Monroe Couty Sheriff’s Office is alerting motorists of Florida Department of Transportation construction creating a potential traffic hazard along the southbound lane at Mile Marker 21 on U.S. 1.

FDOT created a lane shift at this location and ground away yellow striping/pavement, creating large holes in the road surface.

“Motorists, especially motorcyclists, should use due care while traveling through this area,” said Sheriff Rick Ramsay.
