How travel agent gets paid
Let me share with yall how these travel agents get paid : 💎💎💎💎 because some of you are not sure and sharing false information !

Some of yall may not want or feel the need to get a travel agent to plan your trip(s), and THAT IS FINE👍🏾
But you’re still paying a commission rather you book with the travel agent or not. 😌 Prime example: (and this is a quote)… I have a client looking to plan a vacation.
The gross amount is after all taxes & fees.
The commission amount is going to the agent/advisor (rather online, offline, or independent agent🙃)
The net amount is before all taxes & fees & commission
So imagine planning & booking your own trip without a travel agent (so you believe), only to find out $939.21 still went to a travel agent… mind you, that person who received that commission check didn’t help you at all with planning that trip, making changes to it, or whatever. 😶🌫️ and by the way, there’s absolutely NOTHING you can do about it because again, the commission is built into the price.
Maybe it’s just me, but that’s too much money 💰 out of pocket for a person to bank off me and I did the work of planning my entire vacation myself! No different than self checkout at Walmart.. 😒
And THAT IS WHY I ALWAYS give yall the game 💯 Because let’s be real, this is what yall DON’T see.
So, if you ever hear anyone saying “you’re an unpaid travel agent”, it’s because you’re doing EXACTLY what a travel agent does (plan the trip, research multiple options, and book the trip yourself and still be out of pocket) .. Agents are actually trying to help you so quit saying that they’re scams and pyramid schemes when you’re scamming your own self being naive and not receptive to facts & knowledge from professionals in the field.
Life is hard enough and jobs not paying enough for anyone to miss out on their own money trying to escape reality and decompress. So remember, no matter how much you spend, that person attached to the booking (even third parties and direct companies) are getting paid - but you’re not because you keep saying “I don’t need an agent” 😐…
And another thing, stop confusing Travel Agents business with HAVING to market to make money because you honestly don’t. I’ve been running my Travel Business for almost 3 years and I choose to market travel. I literally wouldn’t book others - I did it to put money in my own pockets, come home to a check and not just low funds. Tons of people have asked for my assistance simply because they just don’t have the time to plan their vacations or don’t want to do the research, so I took my business to the next level.
