Today is my 1 year work anniversary. There was work in the stars to align it because God heard my prayers and God answered. When I started, it was a bit of a struggle, but I held on everyday and trusted that God put me there for a reason and tested what s/he could out of me. Believe me, I was tested and I can only gain strength from this. This is my highest paid job, the benefits are good, and I really enjoy and know what I do (just wish it was a hybrid remote job; last wish, God 😛), so I might be here for a while. But maybe if GME reaches $50/stock, that'll change my mind 😛 Within a year, I have saved a lot and made very good financial progress.
Since moving back to Wausau in August 2019, in just three years, financially I:
- Paid off my student loan
- Bought a house; closing cost was $5k
- Went on multiple weekend trips
- Invested in some "luxury" items like skincare, iphone 13 pro, and the house
- Have a Roth IRA open (it's so easy and not something only the rich has; it's just that the rich makes it a priority to open it. So go to Fidelity.com and open an IRA today. IDC if you put $0 in it, just open it so you can tell people you have a Roth IRA, so when they make money moves, you can too.)
- Have over $40k+ in stocks, eeek
- $10k in my emergency
Remember, I lived in Madison for four years and I was in the negative when I left!
Depending on where you are on the financial spectrum, these numbers could be low or high. Once I make over $100k, I won't be sharing my numbers anymore lol. My growth is not a measuring tool to yours. It is just here to encourage your own growth. You are on your own (financial) path. Growth is different for everyone and it doesn't always have to be finances. If you got better at your craft, that's growth. Maybe you increased your customers. Maybe you left a toxic relationship. Maybe you learned how to respond/handle situations better. Me sharing my financial growth is to show you that it takes time and you will get there if you

Hello! It's been a long time since I uploaded a video. This video was my trip to Seattle in October 2021 that I didn't make time to edit until now. Talking in videos isn't really my style, but editing this video showed me how good it is to live and soak in the moment to remember it as it is. If anyone is planning to hike Colchuck Lake, avoid going in October.
This 7.5 hour hike showed me I was capable of hiking and that's why I do it now. Sadly, there won't be any scenes as exciting as this for the rest of the year, but I will try to get my steps in.

Monday Money Expenses
Good Monday Morning Friends!
I have honestly stopped being super great at tracking my expenses ever since I became debt free in 2020. It has already been two years but it feels like I just paid off everything a week ago.
I want to share how I hold myself accountable and be an example when it comes to money by sharing my weekend expenses every Monday! As you can see, I've traveled more than usual this summer and you're probably thinking, "Wow, she must be rich!!!!!" I'm not that rich and no one has to be rich to travel. What makes me or the experiences that you see me doing rich is simply my perspective/narrative. I value it, and therefore, you/the audience see it and mirror the same feelings.
This weekend I was in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. We planned to hike around the area but it rained, both days. I love hiking because it's free and doesn't require a lot of thinking. This weekend's expenses after split are:
$10 - Gas
$20 - Lodging
$10 - Admission
$5 - Parking
$40 - Shopping
$35 - Wal-Mart
==$120
You're probably wondering what about food? I just remembered I helped @bbbeauty336 on Saturday morning and she paid me in food. That brings me to my next point, not every reward for the things you do has to be monetary. There are many ways to give and provide.
Now I'll finally get to the point of the video. That was a dresser that I picked up for free on Thursday and sold it on Sunday for $80, which balanced the cost of this trip. Do I like to buy and resell?! NO! Just kidding, I love it and I do it all alone; the whole thing; Yes, I assemble or carry it in alone (most of the time). My point is that you have to balance your expenses. Every time I need to make a purchase, I always think, "how much do I need to sell/work to pay this off?" This helps me lean toward no often.
Also in the video is some renovation tools, so stay tune for that update. September is coming up pretty fast and I'll also have two updates in that month to share as well.
Go look at your weekend char
October 2021 | Wow. I can't believe Mount Rainier really happened. I have to go back when there's no snow! I'm not sure when I'll actually edit this so here is a memory of it!
