Driving conditions will continue to deteriorate across a large portion of Missouri as this storm continues throughout the rest of the weekend. Some portions of northwest and north central Missouri are under a blizzard warning. All motorists across the state are encouraged to 𝗔𝗩𝗢𝗜𝗗 𝗧𝗥𝗔𝗩𝗘𝗟, especially if you are in the area under a blizzard warning. We have prepared at Osage Valley for whatever tonight’s weather brings. We hope you have been getting prepared today and are safe and warm at home this evening. We pray for the safety of anyone that has to be out tonight. If we do start to have outages and you have a generator, please make sure it is installed and used properly. Improper use of a generator can cause deadly back feed on to the power lines, endangering our linemen. Stay safe!

WHAT...Heavy mixed precipitation expected. Total snow and sleet accumulations between 3 and 5 inches and ice accumulations between one tenth and four tenths of an inch. Winds gusting as high as 40 mph.

WHERE...Portions of east central Kansas and west central Missouri.

WHEN...From noon today to 3 AM CST Monday.

IMPACTS...Power outages and tree damage are likely due to the ice. Travel could be nearly impossible.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
