Eventless Plot
Eventless Plot were formed in 2002, in Thessaloniki. Borrowing elements from different genres and aesthetics to build their own hybrid of sound, while exhibiting great attention to sonic details in different forms of experimentalism. From free impro and noise, to new electronica, electroacoustic composition and jazz, their music remains always unconventional and contemporary. They use a variety of instruments, analog sources, field recordings and Max/MSP patches, while incorporating musical segments through collaborations with various musicians to realize their compositions.
Eventless Plot are working on sound design and composition for art installations, films and dance projects and have released in some of the most acknowledged labels around the world including Another Timbre (UK), Edition Wandelweiser (GER), Dinzu Artefacts (USA), Moving Furniture Contemporary Series (NL), Tsss Tapes (IT), Granny Records (GR), Dasa Tapes (GR), Aural Terrains (UK), Archive Officielle (CAN) and Never Anything Records (USA) among others. Moreover, they have performed live in many festivals and venues in Greece and abroad.
Francesco Covarino
F Covarino (1979), self taught drummer, I grew up loving Jim White from the Dirty Three and his free, lyric way of moving around the drums. For the first time I saw that there was another way of playing the drums, that you did not have to keep a steady beat and play loud but you could treat like a soft, delicate instrument, and you could play melodies with it.
I also admire musicians who make use of what they have close and go around looking for the tiny sounds and textures of everyday objects around them, without worrying about expensive hi tech gear.
Since 2019 I have been running a tape label called tsss tapes.
