Picking a soundtrack for the nearly 5 hour trip from Figueres to Toulouse I of course plumped for The Stranglers… Just because of Goodbye Toulouse really.

OK, so there are 50 people on this page. How about starting a list of the people (not JUST bands) that helped create and sustain the underground as we knew and know it?
Just as Barney Simon was presented by a lifetime achievement award, maybe there are people who should be recognised from amongst us too? What do you say?

Punk, It burned brightly for a few years and then disappeared without accomplishing too much, right- Not in South Africa says South African author, band manager and musician DAVE CHISLETT. He was there at the start and has helped document punks inadvertent role in this countrys social change.

just to repeat a comment....
what do you guys think of trying to compile an album featuring people nominated by vote?
perhaps the list of possible candidates can be collated by each person nominating their top 10 choices and then having a look at the first and most obvious popular choices.
any suggestions comments welcome..
