CRL Studios is more than just a label. It's a support group for musical outcasts. It's the rusted door to introspective solitary confinement. It's an army, leading a bloody onslaught since 2005. While the individual artists have their own unique visions, they all meld together to form an idea: destroy and rebuild. Each member wields music and art as their chosen weapons for this task, whether its directed towards themselves, their memories, or the world. Each release is an exhibition of raw emotion. This is life with all its purity and imperfections. Founded by James Church (aka Lucidstatic), CRL Studios works with other like-minded labels and artists to bring these visions to the masses, spreading the infection of harmonic beauty and noisy disfigurement. This is not revolt. This is not an uprising. This is evolution.

So far the new Static Logic - Frequency Drift EP is being well received. It received graphic design by Sean of :10: and mastering by our friend TOKEE. Check it out if you haven’t already.
Projects on the table currently: progress continues on an upcoming Angel of Violence follow up to ‘Weaponized Incompetence’, MHZ has some drum n bass treats coming soon with details to be announced, the final Riots On Rewind full length will see release this fall and feature a final cover of Laibach by our dearly missed friend Aldo (RIP), and finally their is a gathering of songs for potential albums from Barcoder and Pandora's Black Book.
This should be an exciting fall/winter.

Static Logic – Frequency Drift

Static Logic is a progressive electronic project from Alaska’s James Church. James is known for his plethora of projects ranging from lucidstatic to Barcoder to Pandora's Black Book. Each project delivers a different genre as seen through the lens of James’s personal creative vision.

The new EP ‘Frequency Drift’ is an experiment James undertook attempting to combine pop elements and sensibility with the signature Static Logic style. The resulting tracks are a hybrid of cyberpunk aesthetics and pop and hip hop inspired vocal lines. This release may be the starting line for a series of releases in this project.
