U.S. HOUSE SPEAKER

After 15 votes and a lot of compromises we now have a new Speaker of the U.S. House of Representatives. His name is Kevin McCarthy. Among other things, the speaker is in charge of all Federal legal activities in the U.S. Capital.
While it is hard to tell what the new speaker promised in order to get the votes of the 5 holdout Representatives, it is believed that many of the House rules that former speaker Pelosi did away with were reinstated. These rules provides the House Committees more latitude to function on their own while Nancy Pelosi wanted to control all matters
The House must still work with the Senate and the President. They will be limited in what they can accomplish.

Government Freebies

Congress must now raise the national debt level in order to pay America’s bills. This includes the interest that is owed on the National Debt.
There are some liberals/socialists in Congress that truly believe that all Washington needs to do is run the printing presses and print more paper money and not worry about ever paying the Countries bills. This method of handling the National debt has never worked anywhere in the world. As we all know, it will work well until the other fellow runs out of money.
With 3 states providing about a hundred Thousand dollars of free money including living expenses, for a man, a woman and two children, most of those recipients will never go back to work. And it has been reported that 12 states provide 80 thousand dollars of income for a family of four people in their states. And last year the Democrats in Congress extended the goody package to September 2023

ALLIEN DEATHS

In addition to all of the problems that we have on the Southern US border, there was a recent tragedy where 53 aliens died while being locked in an 18-wheeler trailer. The outside temperature was reported to be 104 degrees.
President Biden’s open border policies is the basic cause for this alien tragedy. Those that died were hoping to have a new life in America and had struggled to get to America’s border. There is no excuse for the problems that has risen as a result of the actions of President Biden. The President and his appointees are clearly to be blamed for the unnecessary deaths of those poor folks.
It was recently announced that Ohio is now rated as the second largest state for overdose drugs. The main contributor to the problem that has caused this condition appears to be the huge amounts of fentanyl brought across since Biden opened the Southern Borders.
Under President Trump’s watch we were building a wall and the aliens were kept in Mexico.

THE VACCINE

Early last year former President Trump stopped travel from China. Joe Biden claimed that he was crazy, and Nancy Pelosi claimed that everything was safe, and she invited visitors to China town in California.
President Trump wisely called in the drug makers and placed orders with them so that they could start the development of a vaccine for the China Virus. He had them working around the clock and term warp speed was used.
As a result of President Trump taking quick action, the first vaccine was developed and approved in ten months. This process normally takes five years.
The vaccine shots that Americans are currently receiving is the result of the early actions taken by former President Trump. While he did not receive the credit from the media for his early actions, President Trump saved the lives of thousands of Americans with the new wrap speed vaccines.

OBAMA CARE

A case, (King vs. Burwell) is scheduled to be heard by the U.S. Supreme Court in March 2015. They will most likely issue a ruling the following June. The case to be heard represents a challenge to the Obama Care Law that limits the payment of government subsides to those states that have established insurance exchanges. While the government has been funding subsidies to the 36 states that do not have exchanges, their doing so may not be legal under the Obama Care Law, as it is written.
If the Supreme Court rules that the Obama Care Law prohibits subsidy payments to the states that do not have an insurance exchange, there will be a number of individuals that will lose their insurance coverage. And if the Republicans in Congress do not come up with a solution for the problem, President Obama, and the liberal media, will search for some cancer, or similar type, patient that will die without their insurance. They will then scream that the Republicans controlling Congress are heartless and on and on. With that scenario likely to happen if the Supreme Court rules that the law stands as written, the Republicans in Congress would be wise if they have an insurance plan ready that they can propose as an alternative to the Obama Care Law.

AMERICA’S POLICE

As we have all heard, and as has been reported, a man in New York was selling individual ci******es on the street for $1.00 each and he apparently resisted arrest. The man was taken down by several police officers and in the process was choked to death. This is a rare case and is not representative of police actions around the country. The policemen of the country are the protectors of America’s freedom. And clearly, they are not the people’s enemy. The job of the cop on the street is to maintain law and order. And unfortunately while performing his duties, a police officer may encounter a life threatening situation involving individuals that are causing a disturbance and physically resisting arrest. While rare, and it is very unfortunate, that a person or persons resisting arrest may be physically harmed or lose their life. We must also remember that over the years there have been many police officers in America that have lost their lives, while performing their duties, in order to Keep America Safe. America is the greatest country on the globe where we, as a people, enjoy more freedom than is enjoyed in any other country in the world.

ENERGY

Offset drilling, along with hydraulic fracturing, of the recently discovered shale deposits in America have provided a real boost for the nation’s entire economy. Lower gasoline costs at the pump have helped increase the sale of Detroit Automobiles, Trucks, and S.U.V’s. This is a good thing, as it has put more people back to work. Now, the Obama Administration is intent on lowering the future carbon emission standards on all coal fired electric generating plants. These coal fired generating plants produce the majority of America’s electricity. Under the new Obama proposal, the electric utility bills for the average American household will skyrocket. And, it goes without saying, that More Coal Industry Jobs Will Be Lost. Additionally, America’s manufacturing industry will have increased operating costs that will be passed on the consumer. The net result of Obama’s proposal will be Fewer Jobs and Higher Prices.

AMERICA’S PROBLEMS

America has a number of underlying problems. One problem is the Socialist Philosophy of Government that is being taught by many college professors. In some of America’s colleges, to obtain a satisfactory course grade in the subject being taught, the student must slant their writings to match their professor’s liberal teachings. To do otherwise could result in a bad grade.
Another problem is the court rulings by the judges in America that ignore the U.S. Constitution. The following is from the Imprimis from Hillsdale College and was taken from a speech by Columbia Law Professor Philip Hamburger on the subject of Delegation of Authority and Administrative Powers:
“The United States Constitution expressly bars the delegation of legislative power. This may sound odd, given that the opposite is so commonly asserted by scholars and so routinely accepted by the courts. But read the Constitution. The Constitution’s very first substantive words are, “All legislative Powers herein granted shall be vested in a Congress of the United States.” The word “all” was not placed there by accident. The Framers understood that delegation had been a problem in English constitutional history, and the word “all” was placed there precisely to bar it”
“As for procedural rights, the history is even more illuminating. Administrative adjudication evades almost all of the procedural rights guaranteed under the Constitution. It subjects Americans to adjudication without real judges, without juries, without grand juries, without full protection against self-incrimination and so forth.”
Congress must bear the blame for creating the vast Bureaucratic Maze that we now have in Washington. And the U.S. Supreme Court is guilty of allowing it to happen. The E.P.A., the I.R.S. and the V.A. are examples that all of America is familiar with. America now has Government by Bureaucrat.

MID-TERM ELECTION

What have we learned from the recent mid-term elections? The bottom line is: The Voters Wanted Change In Washington. President Obama stated that his name was not on the ballot for the Mid-term election. But, he claimed that his politics and programs were being voted on. It appears that the voters have clearly repudiated the Obama agenda.
The voters increased the number of Republicans in the U.S. House of Representatives and elected 53 Republican U.S. Senate members. This gives the Republicans control of the U. S. Senate. However, the actions of the voters does raise a question regarding the reason for the election of the large number of Republicans. While some voters were truly supporting Republicans, many voters are fed up with both political parties and only wanted change in Washington. And their only option was to vote to replace a few incumbents. Many voters, and non-voters alike, believe that the Bureaucrats in Washington are completely out of control. Look at the E.P.A. and the V.A. as examples. Many voters believe that we have too many regulations and too much Government By Bureaucrat. One way to control the Bureaucrats would be to require a vote of approval by Congress for any new regulation, prior to its becoming law. However, this is not likely to happen, as each Representative and Senator wants to be able to distance themselves from any bad regulation that the voters may dislike. Let us hope that the Republican Leadership in Washington has received the message sent by the voters.

FEDERAL RESERVE

The third Quantative Easing, called the QE-3, is the monetary easing program that is employed by the Federal Reserve Board to support the US economy. What does the QE-3 consist of? It is a program where the FED purchases U.S. debt and they do so by printing the money necessary to pay for the purchase. What some fail to understand is that the printing of Billions of Dollars of new money every month, as the FED has been doing, is really a method of devaluing the dollar. The purchasing power of the dollar has declined in proportion to the debt that was purchased.
There are various opinions regarding the success of the QE-3 program. However, what is known is that the price of nearly all assets in America has increased. Stock prices have increased and food prices, autos, and nearly all assets have also increased in cost. And, while the cost of assets has increased, the income of the middle class American has not kept pace with the increase. As a result of the actions of the FED, the low and middle class American has been taking it of the financial chin. The Federal Reserve Board has now decided to discontinue their QE-3 debt purchasing program. We shall wait to see what follows.

ELECTION IS OVER

Now that the election is over, what may we expect in January 2015? Probably very little change for the country, as President Obama will veto most of the legislation that is sent to him.
With the US Senate now under the control of the Republicans, the House of Representatives can pass a budget and the full Senate will now be allowed to vote on it. However, President Obama may veto any budget that is passed by Congress. Unless President Obama learns to compromise, the government in Washington will operate for the last 2 years of the Obama Presidency, as it has in the recent past. For the Republicans, their new Senate Majority status affords them the opportunity to plan for new programs that they can pass in the future that will put people back to work. This is the beginning of an opportunity for the Republicans to Bring America Back to the great country of opportunity that America has always been known to be.

AMERICA’S DIRECTION

Where is America headed? If we do not change directions, we are in deep trouble. Under President Obama, we are currently becoming a Socialist Welfare State. And history has shown that Socialism does not work. Once a majority of the population discovers that they can get by without working and can enjoy the government supplied freebies, it is very hard to reverse the government’s direction. The Socialist system works quite well when the freebie programs begin. Then reality sets in when the government no longer has the income to continue to pay for the freebies. What does the government do then? Borrow more money, of course. And this is the direction that Washington has chosen. The American debt is now approaching 18 Trillion Dollars and it is expected that the debt will be 20 Trillion Dollars when President Obama’s second term is completed. America’s Liberal Socialists are now calling for more wealth redistribution. In short, they intend to find new ways to pay for their wants. Not only do they want to increase taxes on those that work and produce, some Liberals (Socialists) want to assess and confiscate existing capital. In reality, they want to take from the haves and give it to the have nots. If the Socialist are allowed to succeed, when the wealth of the country has been depleted, the next step in the cycle is a Totalitarian Form of Government. Under a Totalitarian (Dictator) Form of Government, all freedoms are extinguished, the government will silence the media, and the people will be forced back to work. At that point, the country will have gone full circle from Bo***ge to Freedom and Back to Bo***ge. This is the direction that America is headed under the current leadership. As a result of the American Revolution, the American people were freed from the control of the King and the Bureaucracy of England. And Freedom has been enjoyed in America for over 200 years. Let us hope that we, as a people, can continue to be free. America needs another Ronald Reagan in 2016.

EBOLA

Why are we allowing people to come to America from Ebola infected countries? Apparently President Obama, and the Obama Administration, believe that it is politically correct to protect and support the African Countries. What needs to be done? We should stop all access to America from all African countries. If we have Americans that are returning home, place them in isolation for 21 days upon their return.
Of even greater concern could be the lack of protection of America’s Southern Border. The Commanding General of the Southern Military Command has expressed concern about the open Southern Border of America. He has warned that any Ebola outbreak in South America could cause a mass exodus of people from that area. Perhaps, millions of people crossing our Southern Border seeking refuge in America. He suspects that these refugees would feel confident that they could receive medical treatment in America, if they develop Ebola.
Under President Obama’s leadership, America’s Southern Border has, for the most part, been open and unguarded. And as we all know, many thousands of children have been crossing the unguarded border and coming to America every year. America needs to secure the Southern Border and it needs to be done immediately. And let us hope that South America does not experience an Ebola epidemic.

AMERICA

America has the greatest structure of government in the world. America operates under the umbrella of a Constitution, where the powers of government are generated from the people upward and not downward from the power at the top. America does not have a king. While the Progressives in Washington have, from time to time, tried to circumvent the Constitution, in their efforts to accomplish their Socialist goals, for the most part, the U.S. Supreme Court has kept them in check. England, for example, does not have a Constitution and they operate under old English common law along with the laws that are passed by their Parliament.
The American Constitution calls for a Supreme Court that decides if the actions of the Congress and the President are legal under the Constitution. This system has worked for over 200 years and, so far, has kept the country free from any dictatorship. In the past, there have been attempts by the leaders in Washington to ignore the Constitution, in their attempt to expand their powers. For example, Former President Franklin D. Roosevelt attempted to increase the number of U. S. Supreme Court Justices. His goal was to appoint additional members of the court that would vote to rule as constitutional the new laws expanding Socialism that he was hoping to have passed by Congress. Fortunately for America, his efforts to pack the Supreme Court were not successful.
The U.S. President appoints the members of the Federal Court and the appointments must be confirmed by the U.S. Senate. In recent years, in an attempt to get Presidential appointments, including judicial appointments, confirmed by the U.S. Senate, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid was able to get the Senate Confirmation rules changed, allowing a Majority vote for confirmation. By doing this change, the Democrats in the Senate hope to get more friendly judges appointed. Judges that will vote to approve their Progressive (Socialist) agenda.

MIDDLECLASS AMERICA

President Obama claims that America is doing well financially. However, the statistics for the Middle Class shows that they, as a group, are losing ground. After being adjusted for inflation, the Middle Class median household incomes are down 9% from 1999. And the annual household income for all races has declined with the African-American group being hit the hardest. Of the increased income of the country during the 2001 to 2007 period, 98% of the gain went to the top 10% of the people. And during the Obama recovery of 2009 to 2012, the top 10% received 116% of the gain. The affluent Americans moved forward while all others dropped down in income level.
While the average household income has declined, the household expenses in general have increased, and the Middle Class has been hit especially hard. For example, the goal of a college education for America’s children has become harder to obtain. Since 2008, adjusted for inflation, state education funding has gone down about $2400 per student, according to the State Higher Education Executive Officers Association. And since 2000, higher education costs have increased 62%. And, as we all know, a decent education for America’s children is necessary for the future of America. Data Source William A. Galston.

OBAMA CONTROLS ATTACKS

President Obama has taken direct and personal control of the U.S. military attacks on the Islamist Militants in Syria. As we all know, the President of the United States is the Commander In Chief of the U.S. Military. President Obama is a man that has no military experience. And a wise person in his position would normally be expected to surround himself with experienced military leaders that have the knowledge necessary to accomplish almost any military mission. America has military generals, with many years of experience, that believe that we cannot eliminate ISIS without U.S. Forces on the ground. President Obama has exerted tight control over the deployment of ADVISORS (that he claims are not boots on the ground) in Iraq. And, the White House claims that placing U.S. Advisors alongside of front-line Iraq troops is not the equivalent of sending in ground troops.
President Obama is obsessed with bringing all U.S. troops home from Iraq. And it has become evident to many, that his actions are somewhat similar to the control of the Military that was exerted in Vietnam by former President Lyndon Johnson. While the American people want all wars to end, the process must be accomplished in an orderly manner. Walking away from Iraq, as we have done, has enabled ISIS to take control of the vacated territory. And ISIS must now be eliminated, before they can attack America’s Homeland. President Obama has competent military advisors. He need only listen and consider their recommendations.

PRESIDENT OBAMA’S
KINDER MIDDLE EAST

The Obama proposal of a kinder American Approach toward the Middle East was practiced by Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and it has not worked. It is very clear that the entire Middle East is now in Total Chaos.
As America has withdrawn the military from Iraq, the ISIS people have taken over the territory, and they are killing, ra**ng and beheading in the process. It is sad to say, but the ISIS type of person only understands one thing, and that Is Brute Force. The person with the Big Stick, so to speak, is the only one that they will listen to and follow. Yes, they have a sick mentality. And yes, their actions are Acts Of War. Therefore, America must act accordingly, and Do Whatever Is Necessary to Destroy The Enemy. And make no mistake, ISIS is America’s enemy. ISIS has unilaterally declared war on America, and they must be totally destroyed in the Middle East, before they can attack the American Homeland.

FEWER PEOPLE WORKING

The labor participation rate in America is now down to 63% from the prerecession rate of about 66%. This means that about 10.3 million Americans, that once worked, can’t get good jobs and have dropped out of the workforce. Additionally, there are approximately 7.5 million people working part time, as they have been unable to obtain full time employment. A portion of those part time jobs are a result of the Job Restrictions created by ObamaCare. Source: Wall Street Journal
The Wall Street Journal/N.B.C. poll found that 71% of those polled believe that America is headed in the wrong direction. With a lower labor participation rate, there will be fewer and smaller pay checks issued to American Workers. This will result in fewer dollars of disposable income available to the average American worker. At the same time, there will be a greater demand for more welfare dollars to help offset the lower level of average income for many of those that are working. This helps explain why many merchants around the country are complaining that their level of business is dropping.

BANKAMERICA

The headlines claim that Bank of America Settles with the Justice Department for 17 Billion Dollars, to cover its past mortgage lending practices.
The true story regarding Bank of America is not normally mentioned. During the financial crisis in the country, the Treasury Department applied extreme pressure as they urged Bank of America to take over the failing operations of Merrill Lynch and Co. as well as Countrywide Financial Corp. Both of these Corporations were Bankrupt and Bank of America took them over, as urged by the U.S. Government. Now, the Justice Department claims that Bank of America must pay for the damages caused by the loans that were made by the two corporations that they took over. The actions of the Justice Department are nothing more than a form of legal Extortion of money from Bank of America. If Bank of America is guilty of anything, it is guilty of not demanding immunity from Government Prosecution, prior to their taking over Merrill Lynch and Countrywide Financial Corp. Bank of America did the Government a big favor during America’s economic crisis. And now they are being punished for doing so. If America has another economic crisis like the most recent one, will America’s banks step up to help bail out the system?

ISIS MUST BE STOPPED

Following the beheading of American Journalist James Foley, President Obama called the Islamic State Group a “Cancer”. This is a fair observation.
The ISIS group is headquartered in Syria. And, it is believed that as many as 20 Journalist are missing in that area. It is unknown how many of the missing Journalists are held as prisoners.While President Obama has authorized limited bombing of the militants, it will not be adequate to extinguish ISIS. The ISIS group is, beyond question, the most savage group of people known to mankind. They r**e women and kill men, old women and children. ISIS must be totally eradicated. They have already stated their intentions to attack America and if it takes boots on the ground to eliminate them, then So Be It. Prior to World War II, Many people were opposed to any action to stop the aggression of the German Leader, Adolf Hi**er, as his armies marched across Europe. The Prime Minister of England, Nevil Chamberland, felt that Hi**er would never attack England. My how wrong he was. ISIS must be totally stopped and eliminated Before They Attack America.

MIDDLE EAST

The foreign policies of President Obama and former Secretary of State, Hillary Clinton, have helped to push the entire Middle East into a state of conflict. In short, their policies simply are not working. Israel is under attack and Russia is taking over portions of the Ukraine. The only way to describe the Middle East is that it is a Total Mess.
President Obama pushed to have President Hosia Mubarak, of Egypt, removed from office. While President Mubarak was the head of a dictator type of government, he was a friend of the United States. President Mubarak was replaced with Mr. Morsi, a Dictator, that was much worse. Later, Mr. Morsi was removed by the military returning some stability to the country. Gadhafi was removed from power in Libya and the country was thrown into total havoc. Now the ISIS movement is taking over large portions of Iraq and ISIS is slaughtering women and children in the process. ISIS claims that they intend to raise their flag over the Whitehouse. Where does it all end? How would anyone know. America has a President that told the ISIS people in the Middle East that America was withdrawing its troops from the area. And as the withdrawal has occurred, ISIS is taking over the area. ISIS is operating from Syria, as they believe that the U.S. will not attack them there. It remains to be seen what type of action, if any, President Obama will take to defend America’s interests at home or abroad.

ENERGY AND JOBS

Like coal, the oil/ gas industry has been good to Ohio. And this is especially true in Southeast Ohio. Yes, we have drilling operations going on all of the time. And yes, we have more truck traffic in the area. But, we must remember that these are hard-working people earning a living. And by doing so, they are bringing much needed dollars into the area. The oil/gas industry workers buy supplies, food, clothing, and pay rent etc. for their families. And each dollar that they spend in the area has a multiplier of five to six times in overall business generation. Because of the lack of leadership from Washington, the economy of the country has been suffering. And as we all know, Ohio’s economy has suffered along with the nation. The shale drilling operations in Ohio have helped to lower the high level of unemployment that has existed here for some time. Ohio needs jobs and we all should be thankful for the jobs and business that the oil/gas industry is providing.

LIBERAL MEDIA

Why does the national media have such a strong liberal bias? As with questions on many subjects, there are various answers. With some of the national media, you have the ownership or managers/editors etc. that have a liberal mindset and they will not employ anyone that may have a different point of view. For example, the New York Times has many company stock holders. But, their common stock, while traded, does not have voting control. The New York Times Corporation is controlled by a small block of Voting Stock. And this small block of Voting Stock is controlled by One Liberal Leaning Family. The result is the Liberal Bias of the New York Times. Then we have the many news reporters to consider. Many of these folks, while college educated, are Journalism Majors. And the curriculum of most of the schools of journalism is nearly void of any entrepreneurial/business education. Some of their professors hasten to knock the business world. Then after a thorough grounding in how bad the American business world is, these young folks graduate. And some of them go to work and begin to write with a liberal bias as they proceed to tell their readers about the bad American Free Enterprise System. Many of these young media/writers carefully gloss over any bad information regarding a Liberal Politician. And they hasten to enhance and embellish any of their articles that reflect badly regarding a Conservative Politician.

PRESIDENT OBAMA’S ACTIONS

President Obama is trying to turn the American economy into a European Style Socialist Form of Government. He apparently believes that government spending and more government regulations will increase productivity and guide private investment. He has yet to learn that his programs are not working.
President Obama claims that the Republicans in Congress are holding up his programs. And the President claims that Congress will not pass an immigration reform law. However, when the Democrats had a super majority in both houses of Congress, they devoted their time to passing the Obama care act and totally ignored the immigration problem. It must be noted that legislation has been passed to build a fence covering a large portion of the border and the Administration has ignored the law. While the President took an oath to enforce the laws of the nation, he simply ignores, and does not enforce, whatever laws he doesn’t like. Now, we have thousands of children coming across our border and there are reports that they are using their cell phones to call back home to advise their friends and neighbors to come to America, as they are being allowed to stay. In order to pay for food and the welfare of these children, President Obama wants Congress to provide another 3.7 Billion Dollars. However, the President wants to spend a portion of the proposed funds on infrastructure, with no mention of securing the border. Some of these children appear to be young adults with reports of some gang related connections regarding some of the young males. The government is now transporting these children to cities all around the county and more children are coming across the border daily. The Obama Administration has not proposed a plan to secure our borders and it appears that President Obama has little interest in doing so.
