Been over a year since we posted anything. So what's up with this "label"?? Well, to start, it's not exactly a LABEL label. I don't wanna overstate what this is and imply that we put in the effort and expense that other folks put into their labels. I salute y'all! Originally Murder Boy was just a visual indicator that my audio projects were somehow connected. You'd know that the Gravelees was a project that involved Adam Harmless without me putting "FEATURING ADAM HARMLESS" like I think I'm somebody. Of course, I'd slap the logo on Tiger Helicide CDs. Later, we started including projects from other members of TH on our roster. Then, it was just some friends we wanted to help promote. So a lot of the non-Harmless releases that at one time had a Murder Boy connection literally had nothing to do with me. Which is fine, but as a promotional tool we just never made it work. So now, we're back to just being Adam Harmless-related stuff. One day I do hope to help release new stuff from bands I believe in and maybe do some limited re-issues of defunct bands I miss. But in the meantime, just Harmless-y stuff. That said, there is a lotta that racket to come, particularly from Tiger Helicide. Thanks for reading or at least skimming through all this! -Adam

Record/Music Labels just aren't as needed as they have been in the past. Truly independent music is winning. Is anybody getting rich off of music? No one I know. F**k it. It's about getting heard. The point of Murder Boy has always been less about distribution (thank God cuz we suck at it) and more about promotion (oh God cuz we suck at it). At it's core, MRDR Boy has been about putting out and promoting stuff by Tiger Helicide and my other projects, along with stuff by some like-minded friends. Or just a crazy project we believe in. There's been 3 main folks committed to the label and we haven't been great at being consistent. We never clashed, just didn't work together much. We had a lot of the same ideals, but just seemed to not coordinate. So my New Year's Resolution is to recreate Murder Boy Music. We will continue to bring you crazy and exciting and weird and sometimes bad sounds, but with a heightened focus on telling you why you should give a s**t. There's gonna be a new site, a new catalog, and new music. We have lots of releases planned this year, as do many of our friends on their own labels. Now's the time to enjoy all the cheap and free and hell even the pricy and brilliant and stupid art all around you. See ya in 2022.
