Paul Feige’s Ghostbusters which is set to premiere July 22, 2016, has now just released the all-female cast outfits, fully adorned with jumpsuits, proton packs, and the famed ECTO-1 car.
These props though similar to the original, have their own reimagined style. The jumpsuits themselves are more simplistic looking. Instead of having name tags, they have orange and white stripes lining horizontally across the middle with a grayer tint. According to The Telegraph, people preferred if they replaced the torso stripes with belts.

Melissa McCarthy wearing rimmed glasses like goggles and natural goofy persona recalls of a character like Dr. Raymond Stanz (Dan Aykroyd), Kristen Wiig cascading a boring facial expression could be the Dr. Peter Venkman (Bill Murray). Twitter quickly flooded to award Katie McKinnon’s appearance to mimic that of the cartoon Dr. Egon Spengler (R.I.P Harold Ramis); wearing yellow aviator sunglasses and a quiff hairstyle. Lastly, Leslie Jones towers in the back with a strong 6-foot presence. Jones could be the woman Winston Zeddmore (Ernie Hudson).
At San Diego, Comic-Con, people were excited to see the photo of the new proton packs behind a plate of glass. These new packs have a similar look and feel more homemade. The proton packs seem to have been put together in someone’s garage or basement. Maybe Egon helped the girls put the packs together with some glue or duct tape.

The ECTO-1 looks merely identical to the one Murray, Aykroyd, Ramis, and Hudson drove back in the original. One difference is that the car looks more faded but is similar in style to the late 70s and early 80s look. Did Feige steal the car model from National Lampoon’s Vacation lot? The photo resembles the Aden color effect on Instagram. Another difference is that ECTO-1 has a painted red roof as opposed to the former wagon which had red along the sides and out the back.

IMDb says next summer’s reboot will also star Chris Hemsworth as Kevin (an Annie Potts character) and Andy Garcia. McCarthy is playing a character named Abby Bergman, Wiig will be Erin Gabler, McKinnon as Jillian Holtzmann, and Jones as Patty Tolan.
Things should work out well as long as these women don’t cross the streams. So, who ya gonna call?
