75 years ago, President Harry S. Truman signed executive order 9981, ordering the desegregation of the military. The order declared equal treatment and opportunity for all members of the armed services, regardless of race, color, religion or national origin.

Honor, courage, and commitment to serve our nation are what matter to our Navy. Today, we continue to work hard to uphold these values. We are stronger because we respect each other’s differences, and never forget what connects and unites us.

Do you know about US Navy Nuclear Propulsion Collegiate Program? Requirements: • Be a U.S. Citizen
• Be physically qualified
• 19-29 years old at commissioning (waivers up to 31 years old considered)
• 30 months or less to graduation
• Completed 1 year of calculus and physics with a “C” or better
• Be enrolled in a regionally accredited college or university • $15,000 sign-on bonus
• Earn up to $168,300 while in college
• Medical/dental coverage and life insurance
• College years enrolled in program counts toward retirement
• Full-time student, no military duties while in college
• $2,000 training completion bonus (paid after Nuclear Power Training Unit)

Celebrating 🎉

For the first time in Super Bowl history, an all-women team of U.S. Navy aviators conducted this year's pregame flyover, commemorating 50 years of women pilots in the military branch.

The historic team flew a four-aircraft formation over State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Ariz., at the conclusion of the national anthem.
Seven female aviators operated the fighter aircraft, with a majority woman crew working on and maintaining the planes.
The flyover team consisted of: Lt. Arielle Ash, Lt. Saree Moreno, Lt. Naomi Ngalle, Lt. Caitie Perkowski, Lt. Margaret Dente, Lt. Lyndsay Evans and Lt. Suzelle Thomas.
