Today, 25 November is the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, marking the beginning of UN Women’s 16 days of activism, with this year’s theme being “Every 10 Minutes, a woman is killed. . UNiTE to End Violence against Women”.
From 25 November to 10 December, The Meteor will be publishing stories connected to the 16 days of activism, reporting from a Greater Manchester perspective.
Everyone has a role to play in ending gender based violence - changing attitudes and behaviours, systems, policies, and processes that allow GBV to thrive. We hope that our stories inspire you to take action, and take a stand.
