Join us today for 2 grisly topics in church history!

Why do certain stories of the past go ignored? Where does the truth reside?

We explore this with Hauns Mill Massacre and the Donner Party, the relations it has to the church and the problems that left ugly stains we try not to look at.

Since we had touched on these topics in the past, we wanted to make sure we included the details before the close of our podcast. We hope you learn something here.

What do you think of these horrible situations? Hopefully we framed them right.

Our newest episode is out! Join us as we discuss Dr. Benjamin E. Park's KINGDOM OF NAUVOO.

Check out history of the restoration from a political and religious angle! Nonfiction is hard for us in general but boy, this was a journey!

Did you know about the Council of the 50? Did you know about Bogus Brigham? Let's talk! Hopefully we do this book justice as we discussed what sort of drama was taking place with Joseph Smith as he sought to establish the church.

Here we are with our most recent episode!

It's about time we touched on religious art. Let's cover the basics of Christian art and those from other religions- and dive into the details of some artists we enjoy in the LDS realm!

What do you think- should we be depicting deities? Who is your favorite religious artist?

Look in our comments to see the artwork of some of the people we mentioned!

Not only do we have some news for you to hear in the podcast, but we have your stories to share!

We love hearing from our listeners, especially when there is something weird to share. Thank you for your stories about crazy experiences within the LDS church!

We hope you enjoy. And if you think you have a story to top any of these... we definitely want to hear it 😉

We are back! And here for whatever comes-

Including the exploration of a new land. Or an old one? What do you think?

This time we are considering what Heaven may really be like for us in the next life. We reference scripture for examples and put our own spin on it. What does it look like? What can we do there? How does it feel?

We would love to hear your answers! Check out our episode and let us know what you think.

Today's episode is live!

Tracy and Kaylee discuss the miniseries Under the Banner of Heaven based on the true crime book by John Krakauer about a terrible murder from the 1980s that affected the LDS community.

Our focus was spent on exploring how the series portrayed church members and the faults of the patriarchy shown throughout the show.

Did you watch the show? What did you think of it? Where did we get it wrong?

Please note: We know we could never do Brenda justice, and we hope that those interested in this story (or true crime in general) seek proper and reliable resources for learning more about her story. Her family and loved ones have spoken out since the book was written and they continue to do so today to keep her voice alive.

We had the amazing opportunity to sit down with none other than Brother Derek and Brother James from podcast for today's episode on accountability!

What is accountability? Is God accountable to us? What can we do within our wards do hold one another accountable?

These are just a few of the questions we try to answer here. We encourage you to listen- don't forget to be ready to take notes- and learn how you can better establish accountability within your faith in the church.

Once again, a huge thanks to Beyond the Block (fellow members of the podcast network) for speaking with us.

Our newest episode is live!

We are meant to become Zion, a closeknit community of love and service.

Which is, we find, at ends with the American idea of individualism. Even within the church (global and yet American-centric), we find more programs promoting our independence.

We use this time to explore the notion and how it affects our gospel study, understanding, and faith ex*****on.

Do you think these concepts are neutral or not? How have you seen them effect you? Where did we go right- or wrong?

Today's episode is a hard-hitter as we explore the tendency and habit of expectation in religion, especially addressing thr history of the matter throughout LDS history.

Since the Restoration, Mormons have been viewed as fanatics. We continue to hold to that ideal, acting as a "peculiar people" in many ways. This can play into the affect of knowledge and refusing anything beyond binary concepts.

But the world isn't very binary. There are gray parts and particles in science and history and knowledge that religious people tend to refuse when it doesn't mesh perfectly into our faith.

So what do we do about it? What CAN we do about it?

Listen to today's episode as we discuss the concept, problems, and solutions surrounding anti-intellectualism within the LDS church!

It's been a long timing but we finally discuss MLMs!

Check out today's episode as we dive into red flags, MLM drama (satanic books? You tell us), and address how Mormons have a tendency to join them.

We discuss LuLaRoe, DoTerra, and more!

Overall, we see that MLMs are predatory direct sales companies that invite us to prey on our own friends and families- often while putting ourselves into debt. Listen to find out the details.

As mentioned in our podcast, we wanted to make sure you have additional resources to learn more!

For writings, check out and

For specific MLM information, check out and

For MLM podcasts, check out The Dream, Life After MLM, The Anti-MLM Podcast, and Scam Goddess.

What are your other go-tos?

And as always, we would love to hear your stories! Have you joined an MLM before? What was it like?

Problems continue to arise around the world. Hate grows, ignorance thrives, and there is unlimited uncertainty about the future.

It's not easy. But this Tuesday, we want to encourage you to hold on to that hope. That potential. There is goodness to come- we are certain of it.

Book Club #2 is in the books!

We are joined by our wonderful friend Jenn in reviewing the modern proper romance, Lies Jane Austen Told Me.

We took a different turn compared to our first one, taking a romance that is typically sold to an audience like ourselves. And yes, as usual, we had a lot to say.

Join us as we discuss the faux ploys of feminism used in the story, exploring problematic tropes and why this is considered more acceptable media compared to so much else. We complain, we laugh, and we wonder.

We are calling it like it is: trek is one big, messy, red flag. 🚩

Mormon LARPing is used by LDS members around the world to relive and recreate the hardships that pioneers faced while crossing the plains.

We reference our listener stories (THANK YOU FOR SHARING!!) and several articles to find there has been emotional manipulation, dehydration, trauma, and more.

Are spiritual experiences worth going through all that?

Of course, neither Tracy or Kaylee have attended Trek. Take what you will from our discussion!

Thank you again to all of you who shared your stories! Our mouths were hanging open for every one of them. We hope you enjoy this episode. And if not? That's totally acceptable! We look forward to your input. 😘

There is no episode today since we took a much needed break last week due to personal events.

We just want to give a quick reminder in these trying times that you are not along in your struggles. The future may feel bleak but there is still hope!

Also, happy Pride Month. We hope you enjoy some healing and joy (more than usual).

Sending you our love this Thursday. 💕❤💕❤💕❤💕💕💕

Our newest episode is out!

🚩TW: religious trauma

Here we are talking about religious trauma: what it is, the symptoms and signs, and the pain it can cause.

Whether you are in an organized religion still or you have left, it's possible to havw faced this type of trauma. A lot of research is still required in this field but its important that we begin these discussions.

We invite you to listen and consider for yourself what religious trauma is, if you or loved ones have experienced this, and consider how to treat this for the healing process.

What do you think of when you consider religious trauma?

Join us for today's conversation about the church's aesthetics in dress and grooming!

Based on the church's location and our own experience, we based this episode on the basics and how dress standards have changed through the years.

We loved this idea from our friend .l.t.e.r.n.a.t.e and had a lot of fun talking about outfits through the era and how we can have fun with different styles today.

A lot of the information we pulled came from so we recommend you check out Rachel's account as well.

And we invite you to consider your styles and what has encouraged you to dress this way. Additionally, consider how you treat those who dress differently. Embrace your creativity and love those around you!

Seeing as Kaylee and Tracy met in the land of theme parks (Orlando FL), it only seemed appropriate we finally spent an episode just talking about theme parks!

Episode 106 centers on the idea of an LDS park.

Yep, you heard that right. While we cannot complain the original concept, we ✨did✨ go out of our way to create our own ideas about what an LDS park would look like!

Slides 2, 3, 4 are Tracy's park while Slide 5 is Kaylee's.

We also want to give a grand shout out to our Florida friends (and experienced theme park workers), Matt and Taran, who joined us! We loved having them be around for part of the fun. And judging us.

Want to judge us too? ;) Check out our episode! Enjoy our puns, terrible ideas, and more.

Happy Easter!

We bring you the last 2 verses of "How Great the Wisdom and the Love" this day-

In mem’ry of the broken flesh
We eat the broken bread
And witness with the cup, afresh,
Our faith in Christ, our Head.

How great, how glorious, how complete
Redemption’s grand design,
Where justice, love, and mercy meet
In harmony divine

Tracy and Kaylee hope you can make of this day as you desire. While we did not prepare an Easter episode, you can enjoy our recent piece about the Names of Jesus Christ along with our Season 3 series about the Atonement.

We made it through General Conference!

There were a lot of attention-grabbing talks, as usual. We definitely enjoyed some, others not so much, and turned it off when we needed a break.

While listening to the Lord's appointed should always be a comforting event, we understand this world is complicated and our beliefs can get muddied from different perspectives. Church leaders are meant to guide us but since they are still human, they can make mistakes. And these mistakes can hurt us. Not just when they are said, but based on the policies they support and behaviors people take upon themselves againat others to support such notions.

We understand if you didn't listen. We understand if you listened to all of it. And we understand if you only listened to some of it.

We just want you to know that our hearts are with you. We will be gathering our notes, prayerfully considering what has been shared, and then completing our review on our podcast next week for everyone to hear.

Are there any talks you would like us to highlight? Did you have any favorite quotes?

Our hearts are with you. We hope you can turn to the Spirit wherever and however works best for you.

We hope you have a wonderful week! ❤💕❤💕❤💕
