⚠️ ANNOUNCEMENT ⚠️

This week we’re excited to launch a new digital label to coexist alongside our vinyl imprint. First though, we wanted to take the opportunity to discuss our thoughts and motivations behind it.

Since day 1 we’ve focused almost solely on our love of vinyl. From the records featured in our Volumes series and radio shows, to the records we’ve released so far, we’ve not hidden our preference for the physical medium.

The time has come now, however, for us to reflect on our stance with a view to evolve and move forward.

At present rising costs both in the manufacture and retail of vinyl, plus increasingly long lead times, create challenging circumstances for both sides of the market. As a small label we cannot realistically put out more than one record each year, whilst the price of new vinyl continues to rise.

We therefore start FTR Digital to enable us to work with more artists, release more music and ensure the music is as financially accessible as possible.

We Are FTR Records will continue with one specially selected release pressed to vinyl each year.

Completing our lineup for Saturday is label head T. Fitzgerald. Many of you will be familiar with Tom's music by now having been the artist behind our first 12", host of our shows on Threads radio as well as curating and mixing our Volumes series. He lives and breathes music channelling most of this energy into all things FTR.

He's somewhat of an understated DJ, letting the records speak for themselves and earning a place on respected mix series such as Afterhours. MiNimmal Movement and Spclnch to name a few. Having started to introduce more of his own productions into the mix in recent times we're excited to see what he's got up his sleeve for us on Saturday!

Our headline artist for this weekend's party is Oɹos, a rising talent from the fertile Romanian scene who flies in from Bucharest to join us on the south coast. Having received support on his productions from heavyweight names such as Rhadoo and Mihigh, we're truly honoured to have him with us on Saturday.

Not only a super talented artist, Oros is one of the nicest people you will meet with a real passion for music. Over recent years we've had the pleasure to get to know him personally and we couldn't be happier to be welcoming him onto our label in the coming months (more info on that soon 👀)!

Next up on the bill for Saturday is Ross Brewer, another Brighton local with a penchant for vinyl and an ear for those dreamy gems. His show on 1BTN is an absolute joy (tip!) and we feel very lucky to have him with us on the lineup this weekend.

As with Kai, Ross is an artist with a wide range of tastes and influences who can seamlessly stitch together a variety of colours and flavours into a unique journey. It probably comes as little surprise then that the two are paired up for an extended b2b to warm things up on Saturday - a killer combo to take us from day into night!

First up on our lineup for Saturday's party is Kai Gittos, a Brighton local and seasoned selector with a strong passion for the black wax. Kai's beautifully wide ranging tastes allow him to dip in and out of a variety of styles, delivering dynamic sets perfectly tailored to the time and space in which they're delivered.

His new ambient / downtempo imprint Tonight's Dream as well as longstanding party Rhythm Junction give a nod to this range, and with FTR sitting somewhere in between we can't wait to see what records he's got in store for us at the weekend!
