I have asked permission to step down as Executive Secretary.

There is nothing more rewarding than answering the call to serve the country, a rare privilege not extended to all but was given to me by the President, His Excellency Ferdinand Romualdez Marcos, Jr.

The work of an Executive Secretary is a 24/7 job with myriad topics expected to be attended to every day. It demands a sense of urgency which essentially requires almost all of a public servantโ€™s time to ensure that services are met and delivered.

Equally valuable, however, is to witness firsthand your young family grow and evolve into how every parent would wish them to become and they most need me too.

I thank the President for his continuing trust and his sincere understanding of my decision.

To the Filipino people, I shall continue serving you and the country as the Presidential Chief of Staff.

BREAKING: Sa bisa ng Executive Order No. 3, pinahihintulutan na ang boluntaryong pagsusuot ng face mask sa open spaces at non-crowded outdoor areas na may maayos na ventilation.

Ang mga hindi fully vaccinated, senior citizens, at immunocompromised individuals ay hinihikayat pa ring magsuot ng face mask.

Kinakailangan pa ring magsuot ng face mask sa indoor, private, or public establishments.

Setyembre 8, 2022 โ€“ Ang Kagawaran ng Edukasyon, sa ilalim ng pamumuno ni Pangalawang Pangulo at Kalihim ng Edukasyon Sara Z. Duterte, ay may zero-tolerance policy para sa lahat ng uri ng pang-aabuso na ginagawa sa ating mga eskuwelahan, lalo na laban sa ating mga mag-aaral.

Sineseryo ng DepEd ang lahat ng mga ulat tungkol sa seksuwal na pang-aabuso at karahasan laban sa ating mga mag-aaral sa mga eskuwelahan sapagkat determinado tayo sa pagtitiyak na ang mga eskuwelahan sa buong bansa ay ligtas na espasyo para sa ating mga estudyante at malaya mula sa mga sexual predator.

Nauunawaan natin na ang pag-uulat ng mga karanasan ng seksuwal na pang-aabuso at karahasan ay kadalasang nahahadlangan ng takot at kahihiyan, ngunit hinihikayat natin ang mga biktima mula Kindergarten hanggang Grade 12 na direktang iulat ang nasabing mga insidente sa Office of the Secretary.

A magnitude 7.1 quake rocked the town of Jose Abad Santos in the southern Philippine province of Davao Occidental on Thursday evening, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (PHIVOLCS-DOST) said. The temblor, which is tectonic in origin, was recorded at 8:23 p.m., from a depth of 116 kilometers southeast of Jose Abad Santos town. There is no tsunami threat, the Phivolcs said. Instrumental intensities were also felt in the following areas: V - Kiamba, Sarangani IV - General Santos City; Alabel, Sarangani; Koronadal City, South Cotabato III - Kidapawan City; Bislig City; Gingoog City, Misamis Oriental II - Cagayan de Oro City; Surigao City; Borongan City, Eastern Samar I - Catbalogan City, Samar. Police Senior Master Sgt. Jonel Nuezca โ€“ who brutally shot to death an unarmed mother and her son in Paniqui, Tarlac โ€“ has entered a not guilty plea, according to Paniqui Municipal Police Station chief Noriel Rombaoa. Nuezca was not physically present during the arraignment on January 7 and is currently "isolated" at a BJMP facility in Paniqui as part of his 21-day quarantine, said Rombaoa.
