Some folks may believe that lights mounted on handguns may be a recent innovation, but our GOTD shows that this technology is now more than 105 years old. George Seely of San Francisco, CA patented in 1912 a "night sight for fi****ms" that could be adapted for rifles or revolvers, as his application stated. Batteries were mounted under the grip panels, but this internal spring-buffered unit was not easily removed as the power cable had to be inletted into the frame under the revolver's cylinder.
