The app's developer, Steve Sheraton, became a millionaire almost overnight saying “I was dead broke, just trying to get by, living on a friend’s couch, and suddenly, the a video of me drinking a beer from my iPhone was getting millions of views, which was a lot in 2007,”.⁠

“People were begging me to get this ‘thing’ on their phones — they didn’t even have a word for ‘app’ yet.”⁠

“The amount of money that was coming in was just so over-the-top. During our heyday, we were making $10,000 to $20,000 a day".⁠

When I was a kid, maybe 7 or 8, I was asked the question that adults ask kids without fail:

"What do you want to be when you grow up?"

All the other kids in the class had said something along the lines of; Baseball Player, Marine Biologist, Actor, Singer, Astronaut, etc. I probably said NHL Hockey Goalie based on what I was interested in at the time, but there was another answer that I never said because I was too embarrassed and thought the class would laugh at me...

Why start a newsletter about dads for dads? Well, when I became a father myself, I was looking for something like Dadurday. But it didn't exist.
