Pod Punk God Cast Matt & Jonny give their eyewitness account of the Christian punk scene in the early 2000s. A hilarious and insightful look at life within a microculture.

Pod Punk God Cast is a weekly podcast hosted by Matt Wester and Jonny Lohr. The hosts discuss their time spent in the late-90s/early-2000s Christian Punk scene. Comedy naturally ensues through embarrassing recollections of awkwardness and early-life earnestness. Rather than being a 'religious' podcast, the hosts use the setting of the Christian Punk scene and its music to explore life in a micro-s

ubculture. Pod Punk God Cast is loosely structured with each host bringing in a song that they want to use to exemplify a particular aspect of the scene or a particular memory. The hosts bring their own perspective: Matt listened to Christian Punk because he wasn't allowed to have secular music, while Jonny was a semi-active member of a local Christian punk/hardcore scene. They are often joined by friends and figures from the scene.
