Episode 64 is up!

Once again, Elya abandons us, leaving me and Rachel to perform our battle of the s*xes shtick without him.

We kick off the dang thing by talking about the Horna show that I went to in Los Angeles. You see, the politically correct sissies at the Metal Sucks blog decided that they’re going to try to get the Horna tour shut down by putting out articles saying that Horna are N***s. Now, they very well could be, they very well could have “nefarious” connections to some N**i sympathizing Pagan black metal bands, but that should not matter. I wanna see a goddamn black metal show, and besides, you can’t even understand the lyrics, and the crowd at most underground metal shows in Los Angeles is going to be predominantly Mexican.

After we were done recording the episode, we learned that the show had to be moved from its original venue to Bricks bar and grill. A few ANTIFAs DID show up and made fools of themselves. One of them held up a sign that said something like, “N**i metal makes Satan bored.” I ran up to him and put my arm around him, and my buddy snapped a photo and said, “Say soy boy!” Now, of course, they’re trying to ruin Bricks for putting on the gig by going to their Yelp page and giving them negative reviews. So, be a good mensch and give ’em some five star reviews.

After that, Rachel and I take an unexpected detour down memory lane, talking about the Grand Rapids and Muskegon punk scenes and all the people we know. Then I talk about the new Motley Crue biopic, The Dirt. And in the second half of the show, we answer questions.

Episode 59 is up!

Thanks to the fact that Rachel worked on movies on two consecutive Saturdays in a row, our schedule got all screwed up, forcing us to record this a couple Wednesday ago; and as is the usual Savage Hippie m.o., the stuff we talk about is once again antiquated. I mean, seriously, we’re talking about whether Trump SHOULD sign the budget proposal, which has already been signed and has now divided Trump’s base between the “God emperor Trump can do no wrong” MAGA people and the “well, he signed an amnesty deal. Bye-bye, USA!” people.

On the plus side, Rachel, Elya, and I discuss other stuff, such as how bi***es be crazy and flaky, lhan Omar’s comments about AIPAC, the Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez documentary on netflix, and the rogues gallery of the 2020 Democratic contenders.

We also answer listener questions from the two listeners who asked us questions. Note, we ALREADY have ANOTHER episode in the tank, and I’m hoping THAT comes out before the news cycle renders the topics we talk about obsolete.

For the audio of the eleventh installment of the Savage Hippie youtube show, I took liberties and changed the title. David Cole lazily called it “Questions, Questions, Questions”, because, I guess, we spend more than half this rather long episode answering questions. But, I thought “Gut Ginsu” was a much better title, since Ann Sterzinger, David, and Edwin Oslan spent at least five minutes trying to figure out the proper term for when J**s stick swords in their bellies. We also talk about the women’s march and my epic troll of an Ypsilanti, MI based “punk rock house” called the Pl***oy Mansion. The big Savage Hippie milestone! We got a sound guy! That means that David Cole, Ann Sterzinger, and Edwin Oslan don’t sound like we’re in a locker room anymore! You have yours truly to thank! Although I’ve mentioned this before, it’s worth repeating. I was trolling a Facebook music group, or rather, I posited the question, “why do you have to have affirmative action quotas on your record collection?” Naturally, that got me called a WAAAAAYCIST!!! I’m guessing this came out around the time of the anti-Mugabe coup, since I was obsessed with Zimbabwe’s former President Robert Mugabe that week. I think we might be the only show that compares him to that lovable Communist who mainstream neocons love to call a Republican Martin Luther King, Jr. And by “we”, I have course mean Edwin Oslan and David Cole. I think Ann Sterzinger was on a plane to the Islamic colony of France, so she, once again, couldn’t be on the show. Also, something about Jim Fetzer, Neil Young, Vietnam, and the Domino Theory, which states that if one country starts playing dominoes, they all will.

The audio for Savage Hippie Video Podcast episode 5 is up!

Here is the audio for the fifth episode of the Savage Hippie Youtube show. If the BRILLIANT artwork looks familiar, it’s because I recycled it from an earlier episode. Hey, don’t yell at me; I’m putting these out one per day. This is probably our most political episode and also one of my personal favorites. Not that the others aren’t political, but we got exceptionally topical with what was going on at the time; David Cole and Edwin Oslan talk about the transgender heavy metal singer that won the delegate election in Virginia, our midterm predictions, the Louis C.K. scandal, the Roy Moore scandal, Laurence Olivier, and Schindler’s List. Also, if you didn’t watch the episode, I smoke a bunch of w**d on camera. Sadly Ann Sterzinger couldn’t be with us this time.

The Savage Hippie Video Podcast Episode 4 audio is up!

This is the audio for the fourth episode of the Savage Hippie youtube show, which also happens to be our Halloween episode, which means the original video came out five months ago, which means the “comedy, news, and politics” that we discuss is probably no longer relevant in Trump’s constantly “evolving” Presidency. On the plus side, David Cole, Ann Sterzinger, and I wear costumes, which means our “comedy, news, and politics” will be spoooooky!!!
