ARGUMENT: Orbs are nothing but dust particles or moisture.
2. OBSERVATIONS: In response to this argument, I can offer the following personal observations:
A) Some Orbs have been photographed behind objects at varying distances. A dust particle between the subject and lens cannot also be behind a tree/bush that is 30+ feet from the camera. B) Some Orbs remain stationary for 2 or more shots wh
ile others display motion that exceeds the speed of bats, wind, etc. It seems counter-intuitive that a particle of dust could remain stationary for several shots while others move so quickly during the 1/40th of a second exposure that they create streaks. Others move vertically or in circular movements. All this, while other Orbs in the photo remain still, where wind would cause all to move. C) It is common for numerous Orbs to appear in one shot, but none in the next fifty. If dust particles were causing the Orbs to appear, it seems to me that they would appear more regularly. Also, they would be photographed nightly by thousands of people worldwide. D) There are many instances where numerous Orbs are visible in the Infrared spectrum versus successive photographs taken in the visible light spectrum. This is one of the most enigmatic occurrences. If no anomalies are visible in many standard shots, then hundreds appear when I switch to IR, it leads me to believe that there is something present below our perceptual range. F) The Orbs are often visible when the air is clean, without wind, fog or moisture. Sometimes they are not visible when the conditions are reversed. I have taken thousands of photographs in varying conditions and the Orbs do not appear consistently in any atmosphere. In moisture, one would expect to see them in the majority of photos, for instance, or none at all in clean, dry air.
3. CONCLUSION: The Case for an Elemental Consciousness revealing itself through organic means. Those of us who study and believe in the paranormal, may yet find ourselves surprised to observe such anomalies as Orbs, Myst and other phenomenon in Nature. Yet, perhaps we should not be so surprised. Is is so surprising that a Nature-Consciousness would attempt to make itself known through its natural body. Assuming that they exist, would an Earth Elemental clothe herself in anything other than the elements of Earth? Many of us can feel the presence of Deity in threshold moments, such as the sunrise, sunset, rainbows or the flittering movements of a butterfly. Can we not also perceive such in the Orb phenomenon as well? Are we not specs of dust ourselves? Is not the seed of ‘all that is’ contained in each particle? So we have these anomalies, appearing either randomly or according to the will of an unseen consciousness in the spectrum of visible light, infrared light, in dry, wet, still or windy conditions. I believe that the scientific explanation equals the observable phenomena even if we do not yet understand it.
