This is a powerful performance by PGMC (originally commissioned by the University of Michigan Glee Club). When I saw it for the first time all the way through earlier today...the tears were flowing.

UPDATE: The video release has been postponed due to the current state of our nation regarding back lives. I will update again with the new release date when it is set.

The video that I edited for is premiering soon on their page. This is the most elaborate video I've ever worked on. Stay tuned!

Coming Friday: Our first virtual performance!

PGMC will be launching our "Bridging the Gap" fundraising campaign on Friday beginning at 1:00pm PST with the release of our very first virtual video performance. It's a song that perfectly captures how we all feel during this chaotic time. This amazing performance was made possible through the collaboration of more than 70 members of the Portland Gay Men's Chorus, working together while forced to separate (plus a whole lot of technology).

Set your alarms to tune into the PGMC page at 1:00pm to watch this amazing performance. Don't miss it!

Good Chemistry

This looks like a fun project...and I know that Robin Vada is awesome! Check it out!

🎉 🎉 🎉 Good Chemistry is LIVE on Seed & Spark!!! 🎉 🎉 🎉

CHECK IT ==> www.WeHaveGoodChemistry.com

After years of writing and development, we're finally ready to bring our 80’s-inspired comedy starring women in science to life! We have an ambitious goal but we KNOW that with our awesome audience and soon-to-be new fans, we can do this. YOU can do this!!

Please take 2 minutes to go to our page, check out our project, and consider supporting our campaign. We're making a modern college comedy that celebrates our favorite 80's tropes (cheesy dancing! montages! misfit nerds!) while being inclusive, and this film needs help getting in front of people. THANK YOU SO MUCH!! 🙏 🙏 🙏

Twelve Filmmakers Tell the Stories of Portland’s Leafy Ceiling in Canopy Stories

Portland peeps! You have one more chance to see part 2 of Canopy Stories tonight at the Whitsell Auditorium. You like trees, right?

No urban tree is an accident, environmental historian David-Paul Hedberg would tell us, especially in Stumptown. Someone, at some point, planted most every tree in Portland, imbuing the saplings and the stalwarts with human intentionality and, with it, our flaws, hopes, evolving sense of décor and ...

NW Documentary

I agree with NW Documentary that Outside the Frame does great work! I've featured their work at every one of my screenings and will continue to do so. Donate to both Outside the Frame and NW Documentary if you can, they're both doing positive things in the community.

Thank you for this, Outside the Frame. The work y'all do is beautiful in many ways.

Natasha's Voice

I'm finally getting around to posting links to a few of the films that I screened at the last PDX Short Docs. Zach Putnam created this film about Natasha, who was left nonverbal as a baby after a traumatic brain injury. Doctors said she might never learn to communicate. Now, at 29, she uses various forms of Assistive Technology to lead an active social life and aspires to help others with disabilities learn to speak for themselves.
