I am located in downtown Halifax and parking is provided. No personal care experience required! Pay is $20 per visit.

Duties include:
Preparing meals
Feeding
Person must be reliable, Caring, And pet lover (I have a cat)

This would be a great opportunity for a student looking to earn some extra cash!

No personal care experience required! Pay is $17 per hour, 7.5 hours per week.

Using Mechanical Lift to transport me from wheelchair to bed whereby I will then take care of my bowel routine. Following that routine, I would then be transferred into a shower chair and showered and settled in bed for overnight.

5 minute walk to Water Street bus terminal
No personal care experience required. All training will be provided. Pay is $17 per hour.

About 18 months ago I came across Fable. They were looking for people like me, who use assistive technology. TBH I wasn’t sure about them at first, but it’s a been cool to way to earn some money working from home and to learn more about the digital accessibility sector.

This experience has been fantastic and I'm so glad that I joined their team.

If you would like to help out and volunteer with sailable Nova Scotia, please consider attending one of our three information sessions happening in April. Having a great time on the cruise! We have been at sea for two days and will arrive in Saint Martin tomorrow morning for our first Port of call. The boat is massive and so much to do. Weather has been fantastic and having a great time with my friends:-).

I am looking for an overnight care provider in the downtown Halifax area. I would require someone from 10 PM-7 AM Monday – Thursday. For those four nights, you would receive compensation of $300. During the shift, there will be no need for any personal care, I just require somebody to be on hand in case of an emergency. Therefore, you will be able to sleep during the shift.
I do have a friendly cat and underground parking during your shift is available.

Must be responsible and trust worthy. A great opportunity for a student who is looking to make some extra cash without disrupting their school schedule.

I am an outgoing quadriplegic looking for support to help me with my daily living needs. I am specifically looking for someone to support me with my needs on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday Overnight from 10 PM-7 AM.

Duties include:
Using a mechanical lift, I will be required to be placed in bed undressed and settled for overnight. The individual will be able to sleep during the shift and will be available in case I need something throughout the night.On Sunday night, I would already be in bed when the person would arrive but Friday and Saturday will need assistance getting into bed.

I’m located in downtown Halifax and parking is provided.
5 minute walk to Water Street bus terminal
No personal care experience required. All training will be provided. Pay is A flat rate of $87 for Friday and Saturday and $70 on Sunday

Is this the end of the chapter for Accessible Adventurers... however over the next couple of months Kevin is going to continue to provide content around accessibility and inclusion. This new brand will be called Accessible Adventuring and it will mainly consist of Instagram and Facebook posts and stories. YouTube videos may pop up every once in a while but at this time the focus will be on these platforms.⁣

We are so excited to share that our friend Chelsea’s AMAZING film called Re-Inventing The Wheel Re-Inventing The Wheel Movie will be in the Lunenburg Doc Fest Lunenburg Doc Fest and will be shown virtually on September 26th! Though the festival is in Nova Scotia (amazing!!) you can watch it virtually anywhere in Canada and the US.⁣
