Justice in Nigeria has never been known to be a levelled ground for all citizens, especially women.

However, today, we celebrate a step in the right direction as Senator Elisha Abbo pays the price for assaulting a nursing mother in a sex-toy-shop.

Vyoo Woman recalled that the incident, which took place in May 11, 2019, was caught on camera and leaked to the public.

Many Nigerians, disgusted by the act of the newly elected senator, demanded that he must not go unpunished as he is already setting the standard of what his tenure would be.

The victim, Osimibibra Warmate, filed a lawsuit against the senator, with all odds against her.

On Monday, 28 September,2020, the court ordered Senator Abbo to pay a sum of N50 million to the victim, as he was found guilty.

Vyoo Woman, today, celebrates a step in the revolution of the Nigerian justice system, system that many have lost hope in.

We believe that this will set the pace for other judges and legislature bodies in upholding fairness and fundamental human rights in Nigeria.

told a story of her Pan-African mother who gave her a solid reason to love and own her African name.

Many times, we feel our traditional names are not good enough or not easy enough to pronounce. Due to this, we shorten our names or change them.

Uzo Aduba preaches that the uniqueness of our names is what places us on a special radar and attracts the attention that we seek.

Ali Bongo Ondimba, the president of Gabon, has promoted the Former Defense Minister, Rose Christianne Ossouka Raponda, to Prime Minister. This makes Ossouka Raponda the first woman, in history of Gabon, to hold this role.

Ossouka Raponda has been known to shake the political landscape of Gabon.

After serving as the Budget Minister eight years ago, she became the first woman to be elected Mayor of the capital Libreville in 2014. She started service as the Defense Minister in 2019.

She is now tasked with forming a new government while facing the fall in oil production and prices, and the on-going Coronavirus pandemic.
