I love the following portion from the well known Christmas Song “O Holy Night”

“Long lay the world In sin and error pining Till He appeared
And the soul felt it's worth
A thrill of hope, the weary world rejoices, For yonder breaks
A new and glorious morn.”

Many in the world are weary right now, but thankfully we can still have a thrill of hope, because Jesus has appeared! Just as Isaiah 60 declares we can Arise and shine, for our light has come , and the glory of the Lord has risen upon us all! He still calls to all who are weary and heavy laden to give rest to our souls. 🙌🏻

It is your season to bear fruit. You are not too old and you are never too young to fulfill God’s plan. There is life and purpose for this stage of your life. Elizabeth was 88 years old when she had John. Sarah was 90 years old when she had Isaac! Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego were just teenagers when they faced off with the King of Babylon. Don’t buy into the idea that your season is over or that it hasn’t started yet.
Remember: “Blessed is the one who trusts in the Lord, whose confidence is in him. They will be like a tree planted by the water that sends out its roots by the stream. It does not fear when heat comes;
its leaves are always green. It has no worries in a year of drought and never fails to bear fruit.”! (Jer 17:7-8)

🎙️New Episode!

Luke 1 tells the story of how the angel Gabriel visited Mary and told her she would be the mother of the Son of God. Mary was taken to the brink of her understanding, yet she replied, “Behold, I am the servant of the Lord; may it be done to me according to your word.” Mary had no prior example, only the Word of the Lord. My prayer is that we take God at His word. That we wouldn't question or grapple with the impossibilities of our situation, we would simply respond like Mary.

Esau traded his birthright for a bowl of beans. It felt really good to his flesh in the moment, but he later regretted it.

Hebrews 12:16 says this:
Watch out for the Esau syndrome: trading away God’s lifelong gift in order to satisfy a short-term appetite. You well know how Esau later regretted that impulsive act and wanted God’s blessing—but by then it was too late, tears or no tears.

Thankfulness is not an act of obligation. It is created when we put ourselves in remembrance of the goodness of God in our life. Thankfulness creates an overwhelming good feeling that makes us want to extend a kindness to others. Thankfulness is God's will for our life. It has lasting benefits so let us give thanks unto the Lord, for HE is good!

When we have an “attitude of gratitude” we are convinced of the goodness of God in our life. We are so thankful that it gives us a desire to return the kindness we have been shown and share the goodness of God with others. Gratitude truly has a ripple effect and it has great benefits to our spirit, soul and body.

I feel a pressing, I sense a sifting. Some of us are responding by leaning into the difficult and growing, allowing our roots to grow deep into God’s love and enduring the pruning of our souls. Some of us are drawing back, becoming offended at the pruning. Peter drew back. He was discouraged and disappointed in himself. Jesus saw that the moment was coming for Peter, the sifting, and He prayed for him, that his faith wouldn’t fail. If you are reading this and you are struggling, know that I am praying for you. I’ve been there. I am praying that your faith would not fail and that you lean in and grow. I am praying that once it is over you will be the one that strengthens and encourages others. Don’t give up! Call out to Jesus. He is a good help in our time of need. 🫶🏻
