Last night, my whatsapp was flooded with a video of my little brother Martse being beaten up by a policeman, at a chilling spot.

I have and will always look at Martse as my little brother despite the differences we may have from time to time. This is a young talented man who has given Malawi a lot of big songs. This is a young educated man with a bright future.

I understand that he has been going through a lot and his family and friends have been trying their best to get him back on his feet. Personally, I am very sure that he will find himself again and focus on his bright future.

On the video that has been circulating on whatsapp, here are 2 things I need to say

1. No matter what Martse said or did, the policeman was not supposed to abuse his power by using his handcuffs whilst off duty over a personal matter. I hope that this will be looked into.
2. The video was taken by one of the friends that he went out with. Are your friends not supposed to protect you? More especially when you are this famous? How can you take a video of your friend being beaten up then share it to expose him? My advice to everyone is; stop spending your time with people who do not wish you well.

Team Gwamba, I need you put Martse in your prayers so he can bounce back real quick as he continues to bless Malawi with massive hits.
