He complimented me by saying I was a great producer and I had a good ear for the mixing and mastering because what I was doing on my own was not badly off. He went off to open another studio in his hometown of Maryland, leaving behind some of his clients for me to work with in my own studio, and that is how CaliWest was born! I went to the Audio Institute of America to become a certified audio engineer. Face it, you can have a computer in your home with all of the plug-ins, but without all of the knowledge and know-how of how to mix and master your project, whether you are making CD's, going straight to iTunes, or sending out Demo's (In this case you want the BEST possible sound) you will have to see the audio engineer some time!
