💘Fifth year tips for presenting:
- Use a lot of buzz words, “financial marketing expenditure process” (what does that mean? I don’t know! But your professor will eat it up).
- Use transition words (BIG) ex: therefore, subsequently, in a parallel universe..
- Speak with confidence! Even if you’re wrong! Because honestly, it’s too late to prep anymore when you are standing up in front of every body — don’t worry, they’ll believe you— if you believe you;)
- Lastly, do bring a drink up, I recommend a diet pepsi. Already purchased mine for today! (yes, even with the soda tax in Philadelphia).
Public speaking in college when you either do not care or are unsure if you are even right is like attempting to juggle while wearing a blindfold, you never even learned to juggle & know you are expected to do it blind? Tough, but possible with practice.

Are you addicted to stress??
💌 I know I was!! & tbh, I still am, but what I am about to share helped me tremendously to ground myself in reality!! It is certainly a journey.
🤍 I noticed whenever I had a second to spend on myself, I spent it wondering where my energy would most be suited. I kept stressing myself out & overwhelming myself by the endless opportunities i was “missing,” by doing nothing in that moment. The reality of it is, you are one person! And more to that, you are allowed to have a second to relax!!!!!
❤️ I realized that I have become accustomed to the stress & addicted to the drama that life was, “always throwing on me,” but the reality is that I liked it!! Growing up in a household where stress levels were high all the time was certainly a motivating factor to my behavior.
💌 There are surges of dopamine, endorphins and cortisol in the brain that cause us to repeat behaviors over & and over again. In the case of “thriving in a stressful” environment, when we experience being addicted to stress the surge of dopamine and cortisol it is similar to a “high”
🤍 The “high” we experience with the increase becomes something we crave & when we find ourselves not stressed, this may make us stressed!!!!
❤️ Now what?? Solutions❣️
- Therapy
- Mindfulness practice (grouding yourself)
- Setting boundaries with triggers to your stress response (people can trigger it)
- AND in my OWN personal experience, I am spending time accepting that it is okay to relax!! Distancing myself from situations that include “drama,” and stress bonding is on my next steps lol. It makes us feel better when we share the experience of being stressed, but in some cases it only adds to our internal fire of “stress”.
💌 p.s. if you made it this far, you’re already on the right track!! You’re not alone, and you can find relief! Learning coping skills and managing stress in healthy ways is certainly a great start.

I am slowly relearning that there is not always a need for a deeper meaning. We are all living the human experience & some things can simply just be fun!!! I love a deep talk, conversation & learning about the world, but sometimes it is overwhelming.
Day in and day out I am growing, as all of you are. That in itself is exciting, scary, and everything in between.. BUT, in a weird way everything always kind of works out. Maybe we don’t understand it now, but we will.

I thought I had to live the rest of my life with that weight on my chest, but I didn’t have to. I used to wake up every day with severe anxiety, and I even had a playlist that I would play to decrease it (it barely worked). It wasn’t until I took these steps that changed my life (LINK IN BIO).

Anxiety is different for everyone! This is what helped me.
I can not promise anyone any immediate results, and this was a consistent battle I faced for the majority of my childhood into my early adulthood. I can confidently say I do not suffer from anxiety anymore. I think there are times I get nervous or worried, but it is not to the degree it used to be. I used to experience severe anxiety attacks, once so bad I thought I was having a heart attack. So with that, here is episode 7 of the Fifth Year Podcast. I truly hope it helps. 🤍

My friends and I used to come to @twinvalleycoffee all the time. When we found twin valley coffee they only had two locations, we used to frequent the one next to Shady Maple! 🍁
Now that they added new store locations, it is way more accessible from Philadelphia, which means way more accessible to me🤩
I got a little loss navigating to the store (cause I had to park & walk).. lol, not surprising.
I could not believe the toddy drink was better then I had remembered!! This is certainly a must try for all coffee lovers in the greater philadelphia region. 🤍☕️🫶🏻
