Just had THE most relaxed, chilled beautiful sightseeing mini break in France. We flew the big bird, hired a car and went for it ✈️🚗🏡
DAY ONE
We needed a little back up food for our fridge so drove to Halles de Questembert pour le marché and bought local products of butter and ham then the boulangerie for quiche, baguettes, and croissants. We also needed a chemist and admired the church along the way. We also sat in a little bar speaking to a French man who'd had one too many. He spoke little English and little Spanish and I little French and Spanish. We got there in the end, was a very funny conversation. I joked Je parle français une petit pois. 🥕
DAY 2
Saw the most beautiful village which was a 15 min walk from our cottage with it's artisan shops and beautiful historic buildings just full of flowers 🌹
We had to drive for various reasons but there was plenty of parking. Somehow I managed to pay for parking till the next day! We were both in awe of the beauty and chose to sip in the Salon de Thé and eat homemade biscuits. We walked around the beauty and browsed the local shops. I now officially own an artisan bag and lit a candle for our loved and lost in L'église. 🕯️⛪
DAY 3
The last day was a short drive to the beach pour mon anniversaire. The sea is my soul, the wind is my spirit and sun my mind so a perfect place with a glass of vin rouge. 🌊💨☀️🍷
Every evening we came home early, showered and had sofa time. I planned the next day and read my book after. Occasionally I joined my wife in watching films, charmed & TBBT in French. She can't speak French at all but she was very interested in them, was able to follow them and pointed out her favourite ads the little cutie. I know this isn't for everyone but we needed down time and for people who want to say out, there are plenty of places to go in a evening. 😍
Every day I thanked my GCSE French Teacher Madam Carr as it certainly came in handy. 🙏🏼
Here are a few of my most favourite snaps of the trip. ❤️
