Katy Lopaschuk
[ Writer - Producer - Director - AD - Editor ]
Katy Lopaschuk moved to Mukilteo, WA from Canada when she was in 1st grade. She grew up stealing her parents video cameras and filling them up with hours of pointless footage. Throughout her years in school she took multiple video classes whenever she got the chance. She was passionate about her high school’s news show where she was an anchor/editor weekly. As a young teen, she realized filmmaking was the one thing that she absolutely loved and wanted to continue doing after school. In 2017, Katy moved to Vancouver, BC (AKA “Hollywood North”) to attend... yep you guessed it... FILM SCHOOL! After being accepted into Vancouver Film School in October 2016, she studied the year long intensive Film Production program. She met Galen just two weeks after moving back home to Washington and their creative minds have been working together every since.
In Katy’s spare time, she creates personal Youtube videos about her everyday life and her experiences. Creating videos she hopes others can easily relate to or feel some type of emotion while watching. Along with her Youtube videos, she is incredibly passionate about creating short films that consist of raw, authentic emotion.
