We are like-minded change-makers brought together by our desire to ensure all people learn how to read. For too long, the millions affected by our literacy crisis have lacked a unified voice. The consequences of sub-literacy are severe. Those who are unable to pr

oficiently read and write struggle to reach their potential, ultimately contributing to high incarceration rates and impacting the economic success of the entire nation. Reading struggles produce a wide range of mental health challenges, including depression, anxiety, low self-worth and thoughts of su***de.

5 Million March for Reading Reform serves as a rally point to bring awareness of our global literacy crisis. We call on policy-makers to swiftly implement reading reforms that ensure every child learns how to read. We invite parents, teachers, relatives, and anyone who knows the pain and suffering of sub-literacy to join us in this movement toward a better future.
