Why has there been not a shred of coverage in the Asheville Citizen-Times of the ongoing water crisis? About what's being done (or not being done), or plans to get things done?

One city official said it was still too early even to establish a timeline for establishing a timeline.

We've all heard the overexplanations. We're numb from jargon and gobbledegook. The question abides: How is a supposedly progressive city of nearly 100,000 get brought to its knees by a natural disaster without even a plan for a contingency plan?

"The removal of Confederate monuments, vandalism against those remaining, smearing of Confederate memory, and the hecklers veto of contrary opinions are unmistakable signs of an emerging totalitarianism increasingly supported by politicians. More often than not, the foes of Confederate memory are the perpetrators of hate speech and violence despite their false and sanctimonious presumption of moral superiority."
