Given all the bad news in the world, plus the deluge of high profile character flaws laid out for us daily, the Australian Masterchef 2016 Finale stands apart.
Beyond the fabulous cooking and intense competition Heston's deciding challenge gave us a very fine example of gracious sportsmanship and human kindness clearly demonstrating what really matters. The moment Elena did what she did ought to go into record books of Aussie sportsmanship.
Better to watch and have your teenagers watch a replay of this then any episode of the Bachelor.
