I wish you a happy Father's Day, because one day, you will become one👨👦👦
It is my prayer🙏 that when you do become a father, you will actively participate in the upbringing of your child👦🏽. By actively participating I mean, involving yourself in the day to day nurturing and grooming of your child until he or she becomes an adult.👨🏾🎓👩🏽🎓 What I often see our men do in our cultural setting is this; they sow the seed by getting a woman pregnant🤰🏾they name the child, takes care of the Monetery💵needs of the child, and that's more like it, fatherhood🤷🏾♂. But fatherhood I think involves all the herculean tasks that we often leave for mothers to do, because we we have been socialized to believe that it is Mothers job.
The only thing a father can't do is breastfeeding and bearing a child, aside that bathing, feeding the child🍼 lulling🗣the baby to sleep, changing of diapers is part of the job. Parenting is the job of both Fathers and mothers.
I wish you a happy Father's Day because I know that one day you will raise daughters and sons of this land who will turn our upside down world, upright.💪🏿
I wish you a happy Father's Day because you are a man. And you were made in the image and glory of God🙂
