APRIL; BEGINNINGS BEFORE THE END.

prose.

persephone, the greek goddess of spring, of growth, and of fertility. the mother of gardens and flowers who blesses the green days of spring.

every april, persephone shows herself in the midst of the fields— in every breeze that caresses the morning dew, in every light that gazes upon the earth; she is the mundane nature of this very world.

so why would the god of the underworld, hades, choose her among every other flower?

perhaps he found comfort in how the buds bloom in the wake of sunrise; how the humans get up and live to see another day.

perhaps he fell in love with persephone's motherhood; the harvests, the fruits, the dews, the rabbits.

perhaps death found love in life.

but alas, to us, the divine don't speak, yet the tales that speak of them narrate the same:

the god of the underworld wed the goddess of spring. the end unified the beginning.

in other words, when something ends, something new begins. with nothing, comes forth something.

and april is the month of persephone. it is the month of growth, of a changing season. april is where you renew your soul and start again. it is the month where you say to yourself, "it is never late to change."

which is why, dear reader, wherever you may be, cherish the remaining weeks before you finish this school year. and even after the semester ends, new moments will arrive that'll be worth living in.

A night to remember for our BED Titans Contemporary Dancers as they claim the back-to-back-to-back Champion! The narrative of this particular dance portrays the past and the presence of today's generation "kabataan", which touched the hearts and souls of the judges and audiences.

Our own sports director, Christian James Cabrillos, shows how important expression is in the aspect of dancing!

And also, kudos to our fellow news writers Lawrence Gabriel Tangog, Alaiza Cheen Delos Santos, and Rheanne Laurito.

The Aeternam Family is beyond proud. Congratulations to these people for their successful performances!

MANGINHAS TA!!!

BED Titans won the championship for the Folkdance competition performing the Panginhas folk dance on Thursday evening, November 9, 2023, at Ruben Basalo Gymnasium. The BED Titans used a lot of props for their performance, and they carried out their dance by switching around.

The BSMT Vikings performed the La Jota Quirino folk dance. They won as the first placer with ease.

BSMarE Vulcan, who danced a Tiklos, took second place in the folk dance competition. Even without any props, they can execute their performance so well.

The audience saw how enthusiastic the students were to support their department representatives, but the BED Titans emerged victorious in this folk dance contest.
