Nasarawa University student commits su***de

A 100-level female student of the Nasarawa State University (NSUK), Keffi, Maikeffi Redemption Sarah has reportedly committed su***de, by consuming a poisonous substance.

Sarah, 21 years old, fourth and last born of the family, and an undergraduate of Microbiology was said to have killed herself due to deep emotions and depression.

The incident was said to have occurred on Friday evening at an off-campus lodge near Family and Friends Hotel area, opposite Nasarawa State University, Keffi.

Her male friend who posted her death on Facebook, confirmed the ugly incident to our correspondent on the telephone.

“We spoke with her Thursday evening and she was to come to Akwanga from Keffi, attend a wedding today Saturday, then go back tomorrow Sunday, just for me to hear of her sudden death” he said.

It was gathered that some students and neighbours made efforts to neutralize and save her from the unfortunate incident by using palm oil but it proved abortive.

The lifeless body of the deceased has since been deposited at the mortuary in Keffi.

A relative of the deceased also posted on Facebook, that she would be buried today Saturday in Akwanga, her country home.

Rapper Oladipupo Oladimeji, popularly known as Oladips, finally broke his silence via a live session with fans on Thursday.

The rapper, who was reported dead on November 15, resurfaced online Thursday with a video of him debunking news of his death while vibing to his latest record, 'Ori.'

Speaking with his fans during a live session on Instagram today, the rapper promised to share reasons for the death hoax, adding that this would be as soon as he feels better.

"When I feel like I'm good enough to address everybody, I'll come on live and tell you people my side of the story. Na wetin I con tell you people be that. Pray for Oladips."

I Deserve To Be Listed In Guinness World Records for my reforms since assuming office on May 29, 2023 – Bola Ahmed Tinubu

At the 10th German-Nigerian Business Forum in Berlin, Germany, President Bola Tinubu bluntly declared that he deserves to be listed in the Guinness World Records for the reforms he has made since assuming office on May 29, 2023.

Tinubu stated that during his time as governor of Lagos State between 1999 and 2007, he moved the state from zero to becoming the fifth largest economy on the continent, adding that his track record prepared him for the presidency.

His words: “For those who fear various obstacles, look at me; I come from the private sector, and I’m one of you, trained by Deloitte. I served as the treasurer of Exxon Mobil. Define corporate governance in any way, and I am in it.

“I governed Lagos for eight consecutive years. Today, I can proudly beat my chest that Lagos State is on the horizon and the fifth-largest economy in Africa, rising from zero. This is the track record that led me to the office of president of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

“Nigeria voted for me for reforms, and from day one of my inauguration, I started the reforms. To me, if you didn’t mention me in the Guinness Book of Records, I’d thrive to find a way to insert myself because I did it without expectation, my inaugural speech disclosed what I would do” Tinubu added.

Tinubu’s remarks came after two crucial agreements between Nigerian and German companies were signed in Berlin on Tuesday.
