This is part of the script for our dodging mechanism. There are many games out there that have outrageously impressive combat, and yet most of them lack a satisfying and remotely realistic way to avoid getting hit. Most games make up for this by making your character tough enough to get hit in the face by a battleaxe and keep fighting. We'd rather have a game where you can reliably dodge that attack instead.

Here's a Spritesheet for a punching animation, as seen in the cover photo. Animation is not our strong suit right now, but we more than make up for it in story-writing and gameplay design. Games with low-quality graphics often provide as enjoyable of an experience as anything else, but one day we'll get some artists on board who can really improve our look.
