BE VIGILANT - FIIRO DG .. dubious and unscrupulous elements in action
The Director General of the Federal institute of industrial Research Oshodi Dr Jummal Adamu Tutuwa,has called on the general public to be weary of the activities of some dubious and unscrupulous element currently using her and name and office to deceive unsuspecting public.
She handed dawn the warning in a press statement emanating from her office and signed by the institute Head of information unit,Mr Christopher O Olumuyiwa.
The release statement however said categorically that "the DG doesn't have any knowledge of or access to the award details of contact at the ministry, neither has she supplies on her behalf.
The statement further declared" As a law abiding citizen of Nigeria she is occupied with the day to day demand of her official responsibilities as a Director General in line with the extent public service Rules of the Federal Republic of Nigeria."
"she hereby distance herself from these nefarious activities and advice the general public to be vigilant and exercise diligence in there dealings"Statement added.

FiiRO BOARD GIVE MARCHING ORDER TO DG. . .TO RESOLVE OUTSTANDING ISSUES.
The chairman of the board of Federal institute of industrial Research Oshodi, Alhaji Gambo Mogaji,has a marching order to the new Director General/CEO Dr (mrs) Jummai Tutuwa Adamu to resolve all age long problem confronting the organization.
ln addition,"The board had also given the DG/CEO,every support needed to ensure that,all the outstanding issues are resolved without delay.
According to the statement signed by the Head Public Relations unit of the organization,Mr Christopher o Olumuyiwa, such areas include, unpaid promotion of year 2021, the conflicting figures of over Fiiro numerical strength,undue maltreatment of some members of staff, the ethnic colouration given to issues that should be treated officially and many more.
"Hope are high that very soon the issues will be resolved" the statement assured.
ln conclusion, the press statement affirmed that:"For the benefit of doubt,,
it should be noted that the present governing board of Fiiro, as led by Alhaji Gambo Mogaji CON, have made their Marks in different fields of endeavor, and the chairman has proven records of integrity and discipline with a patriotic approach to issues of collective wellbeing.
"He will not condescend so low to deny members of staff whatever is due to them neither will he interfere in the activities of the union as erroneously stated"the statement declared.

FIIRO MANAGEMENT DEBUNK ALLEGATIONS.
The Federal institute of industrial Research Oshodi has debunked a publication in the punch Newspaper of 7th,Nov 2022.destribing it as far from the truth, unfounded, and tend to miguide the public.
In a press statement issued and signed by the Head Public Relations unit of the institute Mr Christopher o Olumuyiwa said that issues over the 2021 promotion exercise in Fiiro preciated the inauguration of the current board of the institute headed by Alhaji Gambo Mogaji con, neither has the Director General /CEO Dr (mrs) Jummai Tutuwa Adamu assumed office.
According to the statement, at the time of the exercise, the supervisory ministry (Federal ministry of science Technology and innovation) acted on series of Petitions raised against the promotion exercise in which issues about irregularities in the institute's normal Role were raised.
"Consequently, the ministry directed that the exercise should be suspended, but the management disregarded it".
"Added to this is the fact that the tenure of the then Government board of Fiiro,led by Alhaji Gwazo,has expired by the time of the promotion exercise.The board merely acted on a forged letter of tenure extension and went ahead with the exercise against the supervising ministry's directives of it's suspension so as to allow for a staff audit aimed at determining the correct numerical strength and proper placement of members of staff".
The release further explained"The supervisory ministry did not give it's nod for the exercise neither did it have a representative in the promotion panel as stipulated by Law.
This is the first time that a promotion exercise will be conducted without the input and the presence of the supervising ministry, a precedence that must be discharged.
"Many qualified and eligible members of staff were denied inclusion in the promotion list without any cogent reason from the management for their exclusion"statement added.
