[From our episode where we talk about the Viet LGBT community]

"....older people, they’re still a lot conservative and you know. It's a special thing that I notice on TV. Gay people are generally portrayed as very feminine, like even more feminine than women. And they're just portrayed as sassy and mean and just a lot of negative stereotypes are being put on TV and stuff like that. So of course the (Viet) older people, they would definitely watch TV more, and they would start to form a clear idea of what gay people look like. So yeah, representation wise, it's not super helping."

"I'm not LGBT. But I talk to my friends and I learn a lot from them. But because I'm kind of like a young generation, I can talk to them really openly. I have a lot of friends who are in the LGBT community and I heard some stories about they coming out like even the funny ones. One of my close friends he kissed his boyfriend in the corner of the street and at that time his father passed by and he just accidentally saw the two guys and the father invited them for tea in the house and they talked really normally and stuff and I think that’s really cool. "
