Elisa Marroquín, TCU College of Science & Engineering assistant professor of nutritional sciences, is researching how probiotics can help restore microbiome balance after antibiotic treatment. 💊✨

Her work, featured by at least 39 national news outlets, including NBC and CNBC, could change how we think about gut health and recovery.

TCU Neeley School of Business professor of operations management Tyson Browning studies the domino effect of punitive economic actions.

“When you have economic sanctions or boycotts, you end up affecting a lot of others either intentionally or unintentionally,” Browning said. “During a boycott, it’s not just hurting that company directly but all the other suppliers — from farmers to packing suppliers to transportation people.”

Antoinette DeNapoli said taking a religion class in college changed her life forever.

Today, the John F. Weatherly Professor of Religion advances our understanding of female empowerment in patriarchal religions.

“I study women because I refuse to equate the male with normativity,” DeNapoli said. “I am committed to illuminating how being a woman makes a difference at the level of religious experience, practice, identity, authority and being. I am following in the footsteps of earlier feminist scholars of religion.”

TCU professor Antoinette DeNapoli has traveled extensively to South Asia to study the role of women in religion.
